Looks like Mike need a lot of help to cover his coaching deficiences.

Billups is a player coach. There's no "can he."

The fact that Walsh was able to get him for Felton... and make it look like Nugs robbed us is simple anbelivable.

Can anyone spell on this board?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I think Billups is going to be the player-coach and MDA would be wise to get on board. Billups knows more about winning championships than anyone on this team, including MDA. If Billups were 27 instead of 34, I think everyone would agree that we robbed Denver, and not the other way around. Billups proved yesterday that he still has 2-3 more years left in the tank.

Why do you think Mike and Donnie wanted Chauncey? Mike has already coached Chauncey before and he's well aware of just how good he is. It's disrespectful to assume that Mike is just along for the ride cuz we have Chauncey now. Is it any different for Riley when he had Magic or KC when he had Bird, or Spoelstra with Wade? Come on man. In this league its always about the talent 1st and the Coach only makes a small amount of difference. The players are the most important part of any team and you want a great coach to get you thru tough situations and playoff games. The coach also is needed to set the tone and direction, to work with the role players and get them to understand what they need to do etc. Trust me Mike has proven to have a positive effect on lots of marginal to great talents in this league. Guys like Diaw who came from obscurity to notoriety. If Mike was just some regular dude, great coaches like Mike Krzyzewski wouldn't seek him out for advice and make use of his offensive principles.

I think every strategic leader can be made stronger with a leader on the floor to make adjustments as he sees fit.

For what it's worth, Felton is still a relatively young PG finding his way (to great statistical results this season!). Billups is already there... and he's a great fit because he's already been there, done that. He doesn't NEED to prove himself.

He'll take the pressure off the rest of the team by dictating the pace, tempo, and when to break plays and be more opportunistic.
