Contracts are end the same, forget the money for second but if you could, would you trade old Billups for old Nash?

I know we are still basking in the afterglow of Billups big game and smoking that after Miami win cigarette but Nash would have that one piece he never had in PHX in Melo.

Straight up, no 3 mil in cash and some 2018 conditional 2nd round pick: Nash for Billups?

Yup. I love Nash but Billups is cut from the same mold as our 94 Knicks.

Ultimately you have to try and maximize the value of your franchise guy. Nash maximizes Amare's skills. You'd have to do that deal straight up.

Billups may end up running the system fine, but if I had to make a deal right this second, I would have to go with Nash.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Yes, but to play Billups backup...
If you have Billups and Nash playing 24 min each... WOW...

I really wanted Nash to come here but I also wanted Billups as a Knick as well. When the trade rumors for Melo first started I posted that I hoped Billups would be part of the deal, even for Felton.

Having said that I would take Billups over Nash for the reasons you guys already wrote but it would be great to see Nash come here after his contract expires. Two of the smartest PGs in the league on the same team would be a big plus.

I meant to vote yes. Billups' defense Isnt all that good. Most guys are too quick for him. And Nash is a superior passer and expert on pnr

Yeah- I knew Nash was lying about his age.

.More seriously, though- how do folks think MDA would look at this swap?

I think he is just playing with the idea of having both together, and what that would mean.

I misspoke when I said that when the deal started being discussed for Melo that I was for it and wanted Billups included as well. I thought about it and actually I was against the trade at first. I said that we shouldn't gut the team for him at least until we got a look at what we had. Eventually I did see enough. I mentioned Billups a few months later.

Don't want to be claiming to have said something I didn't say.

Nash is where he wants to be. Logging time until he goes back to South Africa and runs for President or Prime Minister or something. He cares about rings like Eddy Curry cares about WeightWatchers.
