This is a statement game. Although it is only the Knicks' revamped roster's third game together, it would be damn good to get a WIN tonight.

Melo's elbow is flared up, but he will play with a protective sleeve.

Let's Go Knicks... Time to BEAT the HEAT.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I hope they get Fields more involved in the offense. He seems to be an afterthought at times and Landry isn't going to force the issue.

not sure what your looking for from fields. The great thing about him is he takes what comes his way, which means he never takes a bad shot. the opposite of that would be toney douglas, who apparently takes every shot. I think what you mean is that they keep him on the floor. I agree with that, when he is on the floor things happen. Last game he wasn't out there, not sure why. I am hoping Fields can turn into a Bowen kind of player. Someone who can spread the floor and just plays defense. No reason he can't be.

Of course this is a major challenge. The Heat are in full gear and we just got our 2nd practice in! It's just the reality of what this team has to overcome. Doesn't mean they can't do it. Chances are not good tho, but it should still be very interesting to watch. I'm excited to see what happens.

Thanks for telling me what I meant. In the last 5 games he is averaging about 6 shot attempts per game, averaging 36 minutes per game, and he is a starter. Its not what I'm looking for from Fields its what I'm looking for from the coaching staff and his teammates. To get him more involved because like I said, he won't force the issue. Which is a good thing.

If the system starts working again, players like Fields will get more touches.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the New Look Knicks compete with Miami.

I am eagerly awaiting this game as well, but I tink Miami defense is too much for a team that hasn't come together yet and may not be firing on all cylinders.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Something tells me you wouldnt have said this if Gallo was still a Knick.

Thank you Hardcore for making this game thread. I am all Game-Threaded out after that crappy loss to the Cavs.

I know the feeling, man. After a bad loss following my last GameThread posting, I decided to give it a break for a while.

When I checked in this morning and noticed that no GameThread was up, I figured that I'd give it another shot.

Here's to the Knicks having a good mojo today.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I'm going to be at the game tonight. Saw D'Antoni, Herb Williams and I think some other assistant at Prime 112 last night. There's actaully a buzz about this game around Miami. Didn't think Miami fans got up for non playoff games. Very excited.

The Knicks Fix
D'Antoni makes lineup change for vs MIA: Shawne Williams will start at PF, Amar'e at C. Plan is to spread the floor.

Mike D'Antoni is the Mike Martz of basketball. Every damn move he makes is offensive-minded. My hate for this guy grows by the game.

He's a fool, that's why. He's starting a 6'9 player who plays like a SG, at power forward.
