I know when he gets #16 he gets suspended for a game. What then? What happens if and when he gets #17? Another automatic suspension or does he get another 16 Ts before they suspend him again? Anyone know? Just curious..
And when he does get #16, do we lose him during that particular game or is it definitely the game after...Kinda weird when he gets the next one, he'll be kind of a dead man walking for the rest of that game a little, no?
I don't like this rule at all btw..Not with the way these refs are handing out Ts like candy this year..I could see if the refs showed some restraint a little bit and only called the ones that deserved to be called but they haven't. Not by a long shot..Seems to have calmed down a bit lately but too little, too late for us now. The damage has been done..Now we're looking at losing an MVP candidate for a game down the stretch when every game counts for two big reasons: (a) we're fighting to hold onto our playoff position and (b) we're battling the Houston Rockets for the better record and better draft pick...I'd say at least 75% of the Ts Amar'e gotten hit with were all bogus anyway..It's not right...They need to re-think this rule next year..Tell the refs to show a little more discretion, raise the T limit to well above 16 (maybe double) or just get rid of the rule altogether...People pay good money to see their team's stars..Imagine if you bought tickets a long time ago and you're the unlucky one to go to the game STAT gets suspended for this nonsense?? I want players deciding the games, not the refs & not some bogus rule that strips teams of their best players because these refs have been overly sensitive this year to a fault.
I think Howard just picked up his 15th, so he's got one to go also.
