We are pretty much on par with Houston at this point. Pick swap or not, with this thin team and Mike not willing to play defensive players - which we have, I don't see us holding the 6th spot. We have a pretty good chance of getting a lotto pick along with Houston. I'm not complaining though, we need a lotto pick to have a chance to get a player like Jimmer or a decent center. Evn if we make the playoffs, we can't get far. Hopefully the CBA works out ok. Thanks "ME"lo.
Watch out bro... this is not the "happy happy joy joy" kind of thread that will go over well with some around here, especially those who have already decided that we have a championship quality team.
"ME"lo... very provocative. Maybe Anthony will do a tweet in response.
I was just trying to see some light in losing, really. Like some others I'm sad to see our guys leave and also like others I have hope with Melo arriving. But being more a realist, I see we don't have enough players. I do believe we can turn things around, but unless Amare and Melo start playing strong one on one defense, I don't see it happening. (And blocking shots as we all know isn't the same thing.)
We need a center desperately, ok, we won't get one that is ready to contribute in the draft. Mos' don't come around very often. (But neither do Melo's)
I stand by my "ME"lo remark though. If you are all about winning and already are a millionaire, then do what is best for the team - we are gutted.
So, who are the top PG and Centers that might be available before 16 or so?
