we can draft a player then trade them (we cant trade the pick)

Could anyone see us drafting a guy, then trading him + $3mm for Mosgov? Maybe the rights to Jerome Jordan?

Knick players and coaches LOVED him and he would be a better player here. I would call that a pretty good draft actually

There is no sadder sight than Mosgov with a DNP in Denver.

He was just starting to gain some confidence.

i could see him being used to clear harrington or andersen's contract. be interesting to see who they use for a salary dump..getting more picks would have def helped in this regard

I'm with you Earl. I hate that part of the deal. Not saying he's a superstar, but I liked his potential to be a solid true center, instead of one of these overachieving PFs.

He was perfect for this offense and that is really why it hurt seeing him go. That said, we have two guys that like the ball in their hands now, so perhaps our needs at center might change also?

Regarding the question though, I have a feeling we really tried to keep Mos. I wouldn't doubt that we tried sending Brewer and another first to Denver. Anything is possible but I think another poster hit it on the head, I think they may use Mos to dump some free candy...

Thats what makes me so angry about Denver and why I can't root for them. They copuld've done this deal without him. They got another backup C from the T-Wolves, for crying out loud. I know that when you do trades and you are in their position, you look to bring the most you can, but they really made it look like the Knicks either included Mozgov or saw Melo go to Jersey. Even Melo said he believed he wouldn't go to NY because NY wasn't giving up on Moz.

F Denver! Bring Moz back, NY!
