i think it is kind of a long shot which is a shame becuase i think talent-wise he is the second best point guard in the nba let alone the east. but i can see the coaches selecting jason kidd, baron davis, chauncey billups ( make up for last year when he should have made it), ron artest and lebron james ( who i think should be selected next year even though he has been hot the past month).so i realistically can not see him making the squad. the good news with that is that marbury hold grudges and will make the eastern conference pay in the second half of the season.

If the coaches cared about winning and could recall AI and Steph winning the last eastern conference all sar game, they'll pick him.

BD hasn't played in 10 consective games this season.
Paul pierce is shooting more eractic then ever.
LJ has been a factor for only a qtr of the season.

KIDD
STEPH
REDD

Those are my choices.

Marbury was robbed. If he was picked for the All-Star Game, a lot of people in NY would be watching the All-Star Game, but now since they coaches didn't pick him as a reserve, a lot of New Yorkers will not be interested. Not good for Mr. $tern.

i still think he's better all around then Baron Davis but if they didn't vote for him because he's only played 14 games as a Knick then so be it! It does suck not having you're own player to look forward to during the allstar game. It seems everyone hates New York so they pick against us and base it on stupid little details.

i thought baron had an incredible month in november. he looked like the mvp. but he had a steep drop off in the later part of december and january. the question is who was more consistent, marbury or davis? obviously the coaches thought davis. well, he should make it next year when we will probably have a better record.

Yeah he was left out of the mix because we was traded to the East mid-season.

He will participate in the PG Skills Challenge that Saturday, though. I hope he wins!
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

yeah i guess it's fair. If he played the whole season with the Knicks, there record would've been much better and so he would've easily made it. I still think he's better than baron davis though. 43% to 38% FG%..it's a no brainer!

If someone gets injured (like Baron Davis, whose ankle has had recurring problems this year), then Marbury may still get selected.

At least we have a Knick participating in the All-Star Weekend. I am satisfied enough with that.

i know one thing. we sure as hell will not have a participant for the dunk contest this year. that's for damn sure! if baron gets hurt, i see stern plugging in lebron to take his place. lebron is more marketable than marbury. stern thinks about $$$$.

he and melo should've been in there. forget "the hype". they've prooved there worth. maybe stern did'nt want to make that dough AND hurt some players ego's.

Lebron has already said that he won't participate in the Dunk Contest because he does not want to re-injure his ankle.

i heard that lebron will refuse to go to the all-star game if he is selected to replace an injured player. davis did'nt play last night and most likely if he is out next week he will not play in the all-star game. so i think the next logical step for stern is to insert marbury in the all-star game.
do you think marbury will make the all-star squad?
