I always liked the way Balkman played. His speed and ability to bring the ball up can make a big impact. I want him to be our center off the bench as crazy as that sounds.

We can turn our size disadvantage into a matchup nightmare for other teams. If Balkman can take rebounds and push the break himself, its going to be tough for the other team. Who cares if he can't shoot.

Plus, he's got the most potential on the roster to be our LeBron-Stopper...

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

He's the only guy in the league who can look stoned, and be the fastest guy on the court at the same time. (Taken from his NBA.com scouting report)

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Balk did a good job when he got PT here. Its not his game that people have a problem with.

That's the great thing about MDA - no plays! He can just go out an launch 3's.

Seriously - I loved when he was here- he was a difference maker - not all the time, but in spurts - great defense, loved the helter/skelter play in transition.

Sorry - you missed the [sarcasm] tag. But really - its not plays as much as it is a system - which is different.

Part of me misses Hubie Brown calling every single play for Sparrow & Walker!

He is probably one of the worst players in the league, but he has some unique skills.

Sounds like he might get cut now.

There is just something about the guy that I don't like, maybe it's because of his link to the Zeke days but I seriously would like to see him gone. I highly doubt MDA is going to use him so we might as well fill the roster spot with someone who can contribute - if that's possible.

Sure - free Balkman and don't let the door hit him on the way out.

I like Balkman. I hoped he would turn into a decent small forward but he really has not applied himself to developing his offense game. He seems to just to be coasting on hustle, but that is not enough in today's NBA. The only reason why we might not cut him is if we can trade him for a pick, we can remove his salary. If we cut him, his salary will still count against the salary cap.

Seth over at P&T saying Balkman will be bought out in order to pursue a FA...Why Balkman? Don't get me wrong--I don't think he can play & want him gone but if we buy him out, don't we still hold his salary on the books for the next couple of years?? I don't want that..Buy out Azu, Mason (we have Brewer now--no need in the world to keep either of these guys anymore) or Shelden Williams instead and carry over Balkman to see if we can trade him during the off-season or next year so we can permanently remove that salary..
