Facebook Twitter MySpace Digg Jeff Adrien, Rio Grande Valley Vipers - Adrien had a poor shootng week by his standards (20-40 over three games) but still averaged 18.3 points and 10.3 rebounds. The NBA D-League's only double-figure rebounder (11.1 per game) will take part in Saturday's All-Star Game. A total of 12 players who took part in last year's game went on to earn GATORADE Call-Ups.

Othyus Jeffers, Iowa Energy - Jeffers returned from missing two games with an injury and had an excellent weekend as Iowa swept Dakota. He set season highs with 34 points and three three-pointers in Friday's win.

Derrick Byars, Bakersfield Jam - Byars had a solid weekend as the Jam extended their winning streak to four games. He's connected on 14 of his last 29 attempts from three-point range and is averaging 22.0 points since being inserted into the starting lineup in mid-January.

Joe Alexander, Texas Legends - Alexander has been held to single-digits in rebounding in six of his last nine games. He's dropped all the way to sixth overall in the league with 9.5 boards after leading for much of the season but will be looking for a big performance in Saturday's All-Star Game.

Antonio Daniels, Texas Legends - Daniels had another solid all-around week despite two losses for the Legends. He ranks third in the NBA D-League with 8.2 assists.

Blake Ahearn, Erie BayHawks - No stranger to GATORADE Call-Ups in his career, Ahearn started slowly after joining Erie in December but he's starting to heat up. The veteran guard is averaging 25.0 points and 6.0 assists in February while shooting .412 (14-34) from three-point range.

Courtney Sims, Iowa Energy - Sims will be sorry that Dakota is no longer on the schedule after he finished the season series 8-0 against the Wizards with 20.4 points and 10.0 rebounds on .747 (59-79) shooting. He'll play in his second career All-Star Game on Saturday after earning Co-MVP honors in 2009

Ivan Johnson,Erie BayHawks - The veteran forward has helped spark Erie to an eight-game winning streak. He's averaging 25.8 points and 7.8 rebounds over that stretch.

Jermareo Davidson, Idaho Stampede - The former Warriors call-up scored a season-high 27 points against Sioux Falls on Friday. He's currently fourth in the league with 9.6 rebounds per game.

Patrick Ewing Jr, Sioux Falls Skyforce - Ewing had a slow start as he adjusted to his new team in Sioux Falls, but he's racked up four straight double-doubles including a season-high 29 points and 16 rebounds on Friday. He'll represent the Skyforce in his first career NBA D-League All-Star Game on Saturday.

Why is Antonio Daniels in the D-League? Ewing Jr. should be on a roster.

Absolutely bro --- unless we come up with a better idea this is my immediate plan:

If Azubuike isn't traded by this afternoon (what's the deadline anyway, around 4pm today?), I'd waiving Azu & Mason and immediately call up C Marcus Cousin and PF Jeff Adrien..In fact, I'd have all the details worked out already; both of these guys would be on standby right now awaiting my call..Cousin would give us a really nice athletic 6'11" 255 lb C that has more than enough skills to play on both ends of the floor and Adrien would be awesome here, adding toughness & rebounding..Adding BOTH of these guys would do wonders for our frontcourt..I think both guys could not only surpass 10-day contract expectations but they could be part of the solution moving forward. And the price is right --- so much value here for the little amount of money it would take to bring them in..Please Donnie, go get these two guys RIGHT NOW!!!! There are other guys I like a lot too (big fan of Othyus Jeffers' game -- strong, tough 2-way wing that plays hard and has NBA experience) but I think these two moves are ESSENTIAL. Please get this done. PLEASE!! We'd be sooooo much better off..Here's some video -- both guys have actually improved since then btw (both were 4-year college players + this year in the NBDL where both have excelled and become all-stars. Nothing left to prove). Notice in Cousin's clip, the first few mins are all highlights against lottery pick Jordan Hill..Looks like Houston may have even won that game on the road..Speaking of Hill, Cousin actually has very similar skills --- I see a Jordan Hill/Al Horford lite type of player here :
