Flash back to the Summer of 2010, all of us are hiding under our blankets afraid we're not going to be able to sign any of the max free agents.

Some basketball Yoda comes and tells you; "By March, you'll have equaled your win total from last year. Two of your starters will have just started in the All-Star game, and another will have started in the Rookie game and led all guards in rebounding, and two other major players will have been the #2 and #5 3pt% leaders in the NBA."

Are you feeling pretty good after hearing that? You'd be peeing in your pants with excitement. (Maybe that's just me)

Stop whining people... we're in good shape.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

PG: #5 3pt shooter in the NBA
SG: Starting guard in the Rookie game, best rebounding guard in NBA
SF: #2 3pt shooter in the NBA
PF: Starting SF in the AllStar game
C: Starting PF in the AllStar game

I'll roll with this... sorry folks. I'm not too worried about holding off Indiana with this team.

4 out of position and one soon out for retirement.

Not sure if anyone's been watching the Knicks this year, but we're at our best with Amare at the pivot (and with Chandler at the 4, but we won't mention that)

Point is that we'll be playing small and that shouldn't shock anyone. I'm guessing we beat the Bucks 130-115.

Pessimism right there. Fields is out of position? Chauncy is the same age as Kevin Garnett. WHO CARES about positions. We have TALENT.

That is actually INCREDIBLE and would have been unbelievable had you said it back then. It helps me to forget our future center is gone a bit better.

Dang right it is, and the fact that Billups and Williams are both otherworldly shooters from distance this year and Fields is the best trey launcher in the 4th quarter... That's a perfect match offensively for what Melo and Stat will want to do in this offense.

On defense. We'll obviously have to address that with better players at the non-forward positions as we go.

It's crazy how much better we are at every position, with the exception of center. We need to find a quality starting center, but this progression has been incredible. I really thought we could add the 2 stars, but never could have imagined the improvement at the other positions too.
