Murphy gobbles up rebounds. If he is available I think the Knicks should try to get him.

We need a defensive center.

I'd definitely be after Murphy. He's all over the boards and can shoot.

Hey, if Donnie pieces together some scraps after this, awesome. If a part of those scraps is Murphy, even better.

Things might turn out decent still.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

Plus we have a #1 draft pick come June, maybe buy another to plug in some holes on the cheap and we are looking great. Dont worry we will fill out our roster...

I don't know if anybody else caught it but in the Donnie and MDA press conference(interview), someone asked what he is going to do for a center. Donnie replied that we have an asset playing overseas and we are looking into how we can get him here this year.

Jerome Jordan might be coming sooner than later.

I missed that but Jordan didn't look anywhere near being ready to even be a practice/end of the bench guy in the summer league. I hope Walsh is just saying that to either trade his rights or make his position seem less desperate when he tries to get a big man.

Not only that, he also mentioned getting guys "on 10-day contracts" which leads me to believe they're considering a guy like FA Earl Barron..I only hope they're looking at some of the D-League centers available -- I'd rather take a chance on a guy like Marcus Cousin myself over Earl Barron...Younger, more skilled with more upside..LOL, maybe if I talk about it enough, they'll get him. LOL

We need NBA-ready guys, not prospects. We're trying to win games at this point. No D-League guys should be in our rotation.

Once bought out by Golden State after trade from NJ, Troy Murphy will choose among Boston, Miami and Orland, source tells @CBSSports.

WOW is that incredibly short-sighted..What are we, the LA Lakers all of a sudden?? A ready-to-go championship caliber team? Ahh, no, we're not..Not yet..Still have a lot of holes to fill..Just because you play in the D-League DOES NOT mean you can't play..Even if we preferred a guy like Carl Landry or Sammy Dalembert, what the hell are you prepared to give up for them at this point?? A bag of marbles? Take a look -- we really have nothing left to offer..Landry Fields is not for sale---we didn't give him up for Melo; no way I'm giving him up for a 30-game rent-a-big man..You gonna offer Andy Rautins for Carl Landry??? Not to say Rautins can't eventually play in the NBA--I think he can, but come on man, the Kings aren't taking that, not when they supposedly have Marcus Thorton and David Andersen on the table from New Orleans..My thing is why stress out over Carl Landry when we can just pick up the phone and grab a D-League standout like Jeff Adrien with one simple phone call for the same exact purpose?? Adrien just had 25 & 15 last night for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers dude..If we don't grab him to fill one of our needs (namely hustle/muscle and rebounding) someone else is going too. You can bank on that. Then what? Golden opportunity wasted, that's what..Sure Carl Landry's the more established player but that comes with a price tag, probably one we can't afford right now..Sacramento's not dumb bro--they ain't gonna give him to us for nothing..Look at how the Melo negotiations just went -- teams will always try and take full advantage & get the most possible in any trade, esp. in our case--every team out there knows damn well we're in desperate need of some frontcourt depth. To be honest, I don't see much difference in what Landry could do and what Jeff Adrien could provide..We'd get Adrien FOR NOTHING, there's your difference..I'm not saying don't look into vets like Landry and/or Dalembert, etc.; of course we should be diligent, but I wouldn't for one second sleep on some of these superior DL guys and think adding a vet is the only way to go right now...Have you taken a look at what Marcus Cousins has been doing this year down in the D-league?? Looks like this dude's your classic late bloomer, a guy that's just coming into his own right now..Anyone that doesn't think a skilled 6'11" 255 lb guy like Cousin can't come up here and complement our existing frontline of Amar'e Stoudemire etc., I don't know what to tell ya..Why would you be opposed to trying out a guy like that on a 10-day contract?? We already know Shelden Williams isn't any good -- he ain't the answer..We could do a lot better w/o giving up anything provided we're looking hard enough & in the right place..I wanna see us act like smart shoppers here, leaving no stone unturned..
