Jeez all this pessimism that we got raped is a real bring-down.

did we pretty much gut our team? yeah. but honestly, for me it was a sigh of relief that we didn't give up fields.

we don't get melo by the trade deadline, knick fans bitch. we hold off till the summer, knick fans bitch. damned if you do, damned if you don't...

happy about Fields. sad about Gallo, Ray and Wil. but hoping Melo and Chauncey and Brewer make me happier.

i'm gonna wait for 2 weeks after the trade deadline before i start bitching...right now, i'm just kind of numb. Losing Moz left a big hole at center...but i am very happy we kept Fields and I think Billups is going to be a really good pg for us.

Couple more days to tweak with a minor move or two. Give the new guys a couple weeks to play together...then if it isn't working....i'll go from numb to crushed

Our best long term prospects were Gallo and Fields. Not happy about losing one, but i knew it would happen, and at the end of the day we kept the one who is our starting SG. Can't complain about that at all.

I'm very happy we got Melo, Billups and Sheldon Williams. I am happy/OK with having to give up Chandler, Curry, Felton, Gallo, AR, 2nd round picks.
I am not happy we gave up Mozgov and our 2014 pick, and not happy with receiving Balkman or Carter. Neutral on Brewer.

Very poor negotiating from our side, i.e., Dolan, IMO.

Yes, I am very happy that we still have Fields...and Amare.

I am old school and enjoy the development of rookies to become good and star players on the team I follow. With the way NBA business is done these days it is very difficult to find players staying in one team but yeah I am glad we still have fields.

No, after sifting through these threads, it seems some are obsessed with being miserable and despite the fact that we now have 2 top 10 players in the blue and orange and our best starting lineup since 99's runnner-up team, the miserable now cling to inuendo and rumors (Isiah) as oppossed to believing the exact words of a man who has been nothing but honorable and classy his whole career and moan about giving up Mozgov, a guy who couldn't catch a post pass a few months ago and was benched for months. Please......

Just curious - how did losing Moz leave a big hole at center. Moz road the pines for 25 Games while Stat played Center backed up by Turiaf. No one here even heard of Moz before he was signed by Donnie - most lambasted that move. Now all of a sudden a player who is 3 years of development away from being a solid player is a big loss??

oh - and yes - Keeping Fields makes me happy. Bringing in Billups does as well.

To me, Fields made the most sense to keep. He wont get in the way of the 2 studs and will still impact the game without having many if any plays called for him.
