Could be a solid pickup and definitely adds much needed depth.

What the heck do we do with him?

The third best player on the Noah/Horford Flordia Gators. I would honestly rather spend time trying to develop a player like that as opposed to Anthony Randolph

Times says the same. I think we will probably move him? Where does he fit? A wing who can't shoot?

Corey Brewer sucks almost as much as Jamison Brewer.

Knicks Set to Acquire Anthony
By HOWARD BECK
Carmelo Anthony is nearly a Knick.

After weeks of haggling and intrigue, the Knicks and the Denver Nuggets finally agreed in principle on the terms of a blockbuster trade Monday night that will bring Anthony – one of the N.B.A.’s brightest stars – to New York, his birthplace, according to two people involved in the talks.

The Knicks will get Anthony, a 6-foot-8 small forward, along with the veteran point guard Chauncey Billups and three nominal role players – forwards Shelden Williams and Renaldo Balkman and guard Anthony Carter.

In exchange, Denver will receive four of the Knicks’ top players – Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler and Timofey Mozgov – along with the Knicks’ first-round pick in 2014. The Knicks are also giving up two second-round picks acquired from Golden State, in 2012 and 2013, and will send $3 million cash to Denver.

As part of the deal, the Knicks will send Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry and $3 million to Minnesota, in exchange for Corey Brewer. The Knicks have not yet decided whether to keep Brewer or flip him in another deal. They have several other trade possibilities in the works as they approach the N.B.A.’s Thursday trading deadline.

The Denver Post was the first to report that the trade was final, at 10:12 p.m. Some details are still being worked out, according to a team executive involved in the talks, and the trade cannot become official until the teams hold a conference call with league officials on Tuesday.

I wouldn't mind Brewer but I can't imagine there is much of a market for him.

Yeah, unfortunately his shot hasn't come around. He is a top notch perimeter defender. Actually the guy got draft before Noah.

His shot is awful. But this is the right franchise to work with him, between Pringles and H20

Corey B has a qualifying offer of $5 for next year. No one will give us anything for him. He can't shoot 3 pt; he can't shoot foul shots; and doesn't rebound very well. He is 6'7" and listed at 188lbs.
WHY do we have him?? This sucks.

His best skill is defense. You need that a lot more on a team that's pretty good than one that is dreadful. On a team that is dreadful and can't score you don't even really notice his defense that much. ON a team that scores a lot but needs another defender you'll notice it right away.

Yeah, he does fit in those regards. He's quick and long enough to bother some of the better wings in the league. There's always a spot if you can defend. And he did shoot close to 35 percent from three last year, so there's a little hope for him.

we have no cap room next year either way. We will pick up the option on him and Billups and go after Deron or CP3 in 12

Corey Brewer wasn't awful from the field last season and despite starting the year godawfully, he's improved every month this season and his shooting at a decent clip this month.

HowardBeckNYT Last tidbit before I rewrite again and pass out: Corey Brewer may be retraded if Knicks find a good deal. There's a market for him.
