A magic genie offers you this one:
We trade Gallo, WC, Felton, Curry's contract, the number 1 from Randolph to Denver for Melo.
We sign Deron or CP3 in a couple of years.

But, guess who has to come back to be our GM?

Yes or no?

You can't be serious. Isiah not only destroyed our franchise, he's a terrible human being. Why is he even in the picture ? He should be in jail for all he's done around him over the last 10 years !

I don't think it's overreacting. I feel the same way. Look at what the guy did to this franchise. It's borderline criminal at least.

I think if someone went out and wanted to destroy an NBA team they couldn't do much better than Isiah did here. It's really fishy, all the giant contracts to bums, the stupid trades. Terrible.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

I don't think Isiah should be in jail...

But I am not taking that offer.

Mr. GM Tweaky? No thanks. He'll have the whole roster overturned every 18 months.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Even Isiah couldn't mess up a team with that kind of talent on it. His problem was he was terrible at making deals and building a team. Who knows how he'd handle a ready made team that didn't require him to make deals. I'd just be happy to have a team like that and i'd have to bite my tongue and accept Isiah.

I think IT signed Curry because he looked at the stats showing that his numbers were going up with his minutes but he overlooked what a fat lazy bastard he was. Just like he looked at the one good playoff for Jerome James and ignored the warning signs. I could see him making the same mistake over and over.

I don't know. I think he personally tried to destroy guys careers either to save his skin or because they wouldn't comply with his wishes. His situation with his overdose and his daughter are pretty damning. I have posted on here before that minimally he is a narcissist and possibly he is a socipath.

Profile of the Sociopath
This website summarizes some of the common features of descriptions of the behavior of sociopaths.

Glibness and Superficial Charm

Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."

Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

Incapacity for Love

Need for Stimulation
Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.

Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.

Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others.

Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.

Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.

Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.

Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.

Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility
Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily

If Isiah has been "recruiting" Melo off the books, like he'd have us believe he did with Amear, it's possible he's playing both ends against the middle. IOW, telling Dolan there's no price to high for stars of Melo's calibre, while also teling Melo to meet with NJ to force NY's hand. Why? Because playing everyone against Walsh has us give up too much, making Walsh look comparable to Isiah's reckless spending.

Call it conspiratorial thinking on my part, but this is the sort of selfish, slime-ball legacy that Isiah has earned for himself in the NBA and D-NBA.

While this maybe true, he set the franchise back 10 years with 2 moves(mcdyess/houston) ..weather he did quitely with high charcter players, and didn't make a mockery of the franchise, we owe all to him for putting the orgization in a cap choke hold.

Every see the movie "The Money Pit" with tom hanks

I think the Eddy Curry trade trumps both of those moves. (See LaMarcus Aldridge and Joakim Noah).
