This is interesting pending how much they can expand this deal. Now while it's common belief if the Nugz and Nets were to do a deal Harris needs to be included.... it's not a total given per say. I don't think Harris was ever necessarily what Denver wanted, he simply makes the numbers work and is an adequate return on a potential deal. What a move like this could do for the Nets, is provide more cap flexibility and this is the more intriguing part of the deal.

If the reignited talks are real would Denver accept.....Favors/3picks/Troy(flipped to a team for a point/need)? Getting back Melo/Rudy to couple with Lopez/Morrow/James(if not traded)/ and lots of cap room probably an okay start to building something, but nothing extremely impressive as it depends so many on other moves.

Lopez and three picks is nuts. If Anthony will sign with the Nets, then all they have as competition is the Knicks.

I know Donnie's not going to do more than two of our prospects, plus AR and Curry's deal.

If Denver likes Favors so much more... him and two lower picks should be more than adequate.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

This could be ideal for Portland/New Jersey/Denver...

New Jersey gets the line up of Melo/Rudy/Lopez/Morrow (the article also mentioned Morrow might be part of the deal)/James..Portland sheds Andre Miller's salary...Denver gets the young talent and draft picks coupled with Houston's interest in trading young talent/picks for Nene...

hrmm...

At first glance, it doesn't make much sense for Jersey (Harris is a good 7-8 yrs younger) but when you look at the salaries you understand the Nets' thinking -- Miller holds a team option for next year so technically, he can come off the books at the end of the season. Harris, meanwhile, is on the hook for guaranteed money for the next 2 seasons after this one..This deal would open up a little over $9.3M next year for the Nets and an additional $8.5M the following year..That $9.3M next year would be huge esp. if they somehow got Melo -- it would allow them to go out an add more, possibly another impact player...Cost-cutting salary cap management, nothing more..
