Briggs, I think Melo has portrayed himself as a victim here just a bit but what he wants is not reasonable.

He holds the leverage and has shown he wants the money. There for he lets everyone else negotiate the rest. He lost his leverage.

Melo understands stats and his place amongst the stars....he wants his stats to appear amongst the career leaders so he i snot wasting minutes....that's why he can drop 50 pts during all this bull****....

Denver has a 65mil extension on the table. Its not like they are mistreating him.

Terrible idea, totally unprofessional. He says many of the wrong things publicly and gave away his leverage. He's really done a poor job of negotiating in public.I wonder who's advising him.

that could make Denver vindictive and even more unwilling to deal.

i think one sensitive aspect of this trade that Donnie is handling well is that the Kroenkes don't want to be made to look bad in this situation. and they don't want to be shown up. Donnie is handling it respectfully... Melo is too for the most part.

i feel like if Melo acted immature, it would make it much harder to deal with Denver. I think Melo is doing a good job.

Briggs - I suppose he could claim some kind of phantom injury.

But- I don't think he's that kind of player who can just quit- that is what makes him a star in this league.
