The parameters have been set for a deal between the Nuggets and Knicks for Carmelo Anthony, though Alan Hahn of Newsday reports that the deal is "still not close," as he expects Tuesday after the All Star break for talks to heat up. He reports that the Knicks are willing to part with either Danilo Gallinari or Wilson Chandler, and Chauncey Billups for Raymond Felton is not a deal-breaker, either. The issue boils down to how much the Knicks are willing to pay, and if Denver is willing to play the fool and pretend they have any leverage in the matter. Hahn also says that the Rockets are out of the running, a development that just serves to reduce the already compromised position the Nuggets are in. Landry Fields, Timofey Mozgov, Eddy Curry, and Anthony Randolph are all in the thick of the talks, and owners should consult with our NBA Trade Deadline piece for more info. Source: Newsday.com
