Simply put, we've got a MUST WIN game here. We have to start winning the games we should win against losing teams. I don't care how they do it, just win this freaking game.

Papabear Says

Maybe if they beat us Anthony will have a change of heart with the Nets and will sign with them because the Knicks have no real hope. In D'Antoni system Amare will be burned out in a year or less Banging up against those big guys night after night. It will take more than Anthony and Chris Paul to make us a top tier team. We must change our way of thinking. Defense Defense and Defense. Mike D has got to go.

There was a good article in the post about how D'Antoni has been given a lot of rope to turn things around and I believe he deserved it considering the state of the roster, but if he can't pull out a W this late in the season against the Nets it won't be long until he is hearing the chants, and they won't be for Melo.

What I liked about that article was that it pointed out that he has been given a lot longer than other NY coaches. I really don't think he knows how bad it could get or how much Walsh has protected him. I would have more respect for him if he had come out and backed Walsh when he had the opportunity.

I just wish it was the trade deadline already, then Melo or no Melo, we could at least regain our focus and start winning games again- honestly, if we lose this one then it means the teams given up while this uncertainty is hanging over them, and we'll lose the rest of the games until the Melo thing is over with. Come on, we can beat the Nets for gods sake!

Tough to make regain focus once you know your dogs are mentally weak. The way some of the players are caving in to the trade deadline talk makes you think twice about what we have.

Nets coming ofa big win on the road vs Bobcats. You don't think they're salivating over tonight's game against the Knicks.

Knicks struggles continues as opposing teams are shooting over 47% against the Knickerbockers. That itself is crazy..

Mike damphoney is a joke of a coach who can't develop his young players, know nothing about defense and bitchin about the fans yelling for Carmelo.

Let's see what happens tonight but clearly NJ has the momentum..

The Future. GO KNICKS!

I still don't think it's about Mike. The team was playing better than this, so I know that they can do it. The team is on shaky ground right now, but let's remember they were above .500 while other teams were struggling and you can't just act like this has been a mess the entire season. We just have to keep playing and I believe in time they'll work it out and get back on solid ground. We all know the team can play better. Right now they've lost their focus and with a team that was already young and developing, we can't survive with so many guys in a mental funk. Recently they haven't been able to defend or shoot or run the offense correctly. That's not normal and it seems clear that it's a mental thing.

As soon as the media shifted 100% to the Knicks and Melo Chandler's play fell off drastically. And as more rumors came out other guys started to play poorly. I'm not saying that it's 100% just that, but man it sure seems like it. Look at how relaxed the Nets have been since they dropped out of the Melo discussion.

We lost to the Cavs. A loss to the Nets would be far from a surprise.

Yeah this game is a gut check for and the entire team. You just have to find a way to get a grip and play hard. This Nets team does scare me tho. Lopez is such a good scorer and we tend to let guys with size go off on us. Still we should be able to deal with them on the boards, cuz he's no D. Howard on the glass. Knicks gotta DIG DEEP!
