Although I feel that Gallo would benefit playing with Melo, and having Gallo and Melo on the Knicks would make us a MUCH better team, I think this is a fair trade.

u can't make that trade w/all that going to DEN, that's a better package of talent than they were getting from the Nets for cripes sakes... the Nuggets need to get real, they can demand the world doesn't mean they're gonna get it... IMO unless they're willing to send Afflalo & Nene back to us in that deal, there's no way DW is even considering making that deal.

I can't believe there are people on this forum who would agree to thus trade - obviously the word championship means little to nothing to some people. You cannot gut this team an mortgage it's future in order to get 1 player. Especially not for a player who has an opt out clause and can come here for nothing. I'm sorry but I don't make that trade.

I want Melo as much as anyone, I saw him at Cuse and have been a fan ever since. However, I also want the Knicks to be contenders and the only way they do that is with a deep talented team. It's funny how so many in this forum are ready to dump Chandler, Gallo, Felton, Fields, an Moz plus picks to get one guy. We will have the same problems if that happens - even if they throw in Billups.

I think you offer Curry, Chandler, AR, and some picks and you don't budge. Is that lowballing? Sure - Gasol got traded for less. Melo wants out, if he wants to be a Knick and play on a great team then he will find a way here that doesn't hurt the franchise.

I would still make the deal. Would try to keep Fields. Think he oculd be special. Don't think that about the rest and believe they're all replaceable.

You do realize how much work it took just to get to this level o talent right? It's not like the Knicks can just fill the roster with these types of players - it has taken many years of trades to get here. Are they elite? No, but I don't think it will be easy to fill out a roster with limited cap room and no draft picks.

IMO u gotta be willing to substitute Gallo or Fields for Wilson... bottomline is neither of those guys are worth losing Melo over... i would tell Denver u can choose any 2 of the following:

Gallo
Wilson
Fields
AR

& with those 2 u can also have cash, a future #1 & any other filler u want out of our expirings & Mozgov... that's it, take it or leave it... i think that's a completely reasonable offer & won't make either team look like chumps in the process.

Agreed - but that is as far as I would go and I am not sure I would allow Gallo AND Chandler to go.

I would do:
Either Wilson or Gallo and your choice of AR, Fields, etc
