What I want to talk about is good basketball at MSG. Well, we have that with St. John's University. All but Georgetown was a top-10 team, and they were 13. This is awesome. Steve Lavin is an excellent coach and I cannot wait for his recruiting fingerprints to really get on the program. This is the best basketball revival at the Garden this year
so into college ball this year. if i remember correctly lavin has the 3rd best recruiting class coming in next year. also rutgers coach mike rice has the 12the best class coming in and that's the first time rutgers has ever been in the top 100 i believe.
lavin really is an excellent coach and got such a raw deal at ucla.. all the guy did was get them into sweet 16 5 of his 6 years and one of those years into the elite 8. yeah it was hard to follow harrick's success but the guy was running a filthy program. love lavs.
I knew it would be good--didn't realize it would be THAT good. Never understood why they could never get a great recruiting class. Who wouldn't want to be Demigods of NY for turning around that program? Hell, you cna't make it as a pro, you get a job as an investment banker after.
