I'm tired of talking about (1) Melo, (2) bad basketball, and (3) defending the second best player on the Knicks. What I want to talk about is good basketball at MSG. Well, we have that with St. John's University. All but Georgetown was a top-10 team, and they were 13. This is awesome. Steve Lavin is an excellent coach and I cannot wait for his recruiting fingerprints to really get on the program. This is the best basketball revival at the Garden this year

I'm a St. Johns fan too. I just haven't had the time to put my emotion into them like I do with the Knicks. Who did they beat last night? I know they are playing that much better.

I'll tell you one thing. If there's no football or basketball next season, St. Johns will have my full 100% focus.

so into college ball this year. if i remember correctly lavin has the 3rd best recruiting class coming in next year. also rutgers coach mike rice has the 12the best class coming in and that's the first time rutgers has ever been in the top 100 i believe.

lavin really is an excellent coach and got such a raw deal at ucla.. all the guy did was get them into sweet 16 5 of his 6 years and one of those years into the elite 8. yeah it was hard to follow harrick's success but the guy was running a filthy program. love lavs.

9th ranked uconn (sorry briggsy) but that's a huge win for st johns. this doesn't put them into the tourney yet but if they finish up the rest of their schedule at 5-2, they are lock for the tournament i'd say. anything less and i think they have to win a game or two in the big east tourney.

they CRUSHED UConn last night. It was awesome. Dwight Hardy has been beasting. 33 last night, 32 against UCLA (loss), 26 against Duke. That's 3 of the last 4 games. had an inefficient 15 against Rutgers, but they go the win

I knew it would be good--didn't realize it would be THAT good. Never understood why they could never get a great recruiting class. Who wouldn't want to be Demigods of NY for turning around that program? Hell, you cna't make it as a pro, you get a job as an investment banker after.

lol... I'll make an exception here. I picked Melo and Cuse and won me my fraternity's pool that year. That was like a free month of drinking. So I'll ALWAYS be willing to talk about that

Best part was D.J. Kennedy finally came through. If D.J., Browlee and Hardy can get hot at the same time, then I think the Johnnies can easily make the tournament and make a little noise.
