You keeping Fields over Gallo?...tough call cause both are a good fit, but I'd keep Gallo.

Man I don't see that being a deal DW would do. It seems more realistic to see him giving either Gallo or Chandler, but not both. Still to be honest it's not like we'll end up losing in the deal no matter who goes. We still end up with a Superstar regardless. Everyone else in the league is replaceable except for the elite players.

if Randolph can really be turned to a 1st rounder, I think 1/3, Gallo, W/C, Fields, + either 1st rounder or 2 2nd rounders is a very fair deal.
essentially its 2 1st rounders, and a young prospect at the same position....

I would keep Fields over Gallo too. Fields is the best in the lwague at his position at something. Gallo is great one game and mediocre the next three

Agreed, although I gotta admit, Gallo is growing on me this year a little..I really like the improvement with taking the ball to the basket. End of the day, I still value Fields a little higher.

I'm sorry what's changed? The Laker rumor falls apart and now we should be giving up more? Denver still has no other trade partners...

Patience.

Here we go again, yet an other round of trade proposals. I am so tired of all those talks... can't wait for the deadline to pass. My guess is that nothing will happen.

It's a tough choice between the two, and i'm pretty torn, but i consider Gallo eventually becoming an all-star here while Fields becomes one of the best role players in the league, but doesn't quite get to that point. I choose Gallo for the time being because i think Fields is a little easier to replace. Not by much though.

Fields is pretty solid at everything but Gallinari is a special player, he's just awesome. I find it humorous that some consider Fields more valuable.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

Well, Chris Douche'ard was on 1050 again this morning and still maintains Melo will be a Knick. Nothing more to report, in the way of new names being added... He did claim that serveral teams are likely holding up smaller deals, until this passes.

he’s not awesome and he's not special. he's got talent but he's a big question mark. he may always be a tweener who averages 16 points per game with low rebounds and assists. nothing awesome or special about that.

Briggs caught Melo fever and needs more cowbell!

It will be over soon enough.

"Nalod the Greek" odds:

33% To Knicks (stays the same)
10% Nyets (still 90% chance it does not happen this way)
2% three way with Lakers and Nyets. Nuggs get Bynum, Lakes get Melo, Favors and 2 no 1 picks, Nyets get Starphuch Kobe.
4% rent a melo: My dark horse is Warriors. If Melo is serious about the money, He'll sign.
10% Bulls. Give up Noah and Bulls sprinkle Starphuch dust on the court.
41% Stays with Nuggs for at least a year. Melo can stay another season at 18 mil and then do free agent with his superfriend Paul and Dwight. The extension also is his to sign. Not saying he stays in Denver but then he gets traded to team based on his real value what ever that is.

33% is still high.

At this point Gallo is a poor man's Van Horn type of player- he could be a lot better but he still has a way to go. He's very erratic. Landry Fields is an awesome glue player- defense, rebounding, occasional scoring outbursts- but his ceiling may not be much higher than the player he is now.

Wilson Chandler is the best player of the 3, but if we're acquiring Melo, his skills essentially become redundant.

Its not an easy choice, but we have to give up 2 of the 3 players. Its just not happening without it.

Chandler and a #1 via Randolph for Carmelo is retarded. Teams that just want to rent Carmelo for the playoff run, ie Houston, Dallas, can do a trade like that and you know Denver's ownership would rather not send him to the Knicks if the offers are even.

Walsh and D'Antoni need to recognize that is not a fair trade even given 'Melo's statements that he only wants to play in NYC. The losses that we're taking with Wilson pouting are not worth it.

I read the Post this morning and reports were saying that Walsh wouldn't include Felton in a deal with Denver... why the hell not? Felton is a temporary piece AND you might come out as the winner in that deal anyway. Who says Billups can't play at an accelerated pace? I've rarely seen Felton running breaks for us anyway.

Billups-Fields-Melo-Amar'e-Mozgov
Gallo-Williams-Walker-Turiaf-TD

If this is the resulting roster... what's the problem with that? If Fields is subtracted, it doesn't make a big difference. You've got two superstars in the fold for years. You've got a championship PG and you still have youth and the same bench you have now.

As great as it is to project what the team would look like in 2012 if all the dominos fall perfectly, it is not fair to Amare to skip opportunities to vastly upgrade the talent for his full term with the Knicks.

We're stil laughing at Cleveland for not surrounding LeBron with talent, but we're going to play the waiting game with Amar'e? Doesn't make sense. Get the deal done.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I don't think you can go wrong with either player but ultimately I like Gallo better. I like his shooting, driving, passing, and defense more. The only real knock on him is he's inconsistent. He'd be deadly if you added Melo and Billups to this team.

gallo and melo both play the 3. i'd rather keep fields. doesn't need the ball to be successful. WAY more consistent as a rookie than these guys.
