This guy doesn't have a clue on how to coach at all.. he was a product of his PG and lawrence frank, thats where all of his success has come from.

I hated byron scott(as a coach) especially in NJ, he got all the credit and didn't do jack. I use to tell people that was Kidds team and he was running the show, at the end of the day, when kidd got tired of him he tuned him out and he was fired..same story with N O.

Now you take a team that won 66 games last year, and they have broken every single season losing streak in the history of sports. LBJ is good, but cmon 26 losses in a row

When MJ left the bulls those guys still made the playoffs and were very much relevent.

Do you hear byron in his post game interviews..it's comical

Its funny, the Cavs have a coach that was set up by his assistants to prove that he didn't watch film and the Knicks have a coach that doesn't watch film because his 'system' is supposed to force opponents to adjust to his team.

What makes you think MDA doesnt watch film..I think they watch more film then the do actually practicing

He has been called out by his peers for not watching films and never refuted it. That was as recent as last season. However, he may watch some this year. He did say that the scouts put together a file of a teams tendencies and gives it to the players so I guess that is a step in the right direction.
Also, his philosophy is to have other teams adjust to his team.

YEP. Someone posted that link where walks us through his defense and shows what his players need to work on and what they're doing right. I remember there was some debate about guys not moving their feet enough

Its not crap. He might have them watch film of his own team but the coaches comment that I referenced was regarding watching film of upcoming opponents. Essentially what the coach said was that he had changed his teams offense and had had his team doing something different for a couple of weeks but D'Antoni would not be ready for it because he doesn't watch film.

I still don't see any evidence that this coach hasn't worked to prepare this team to play. I see the team fail to execute things consistently and put forth the level of intensity for a full 48, but they do show they know what to do in many of the games they've won. When we beat teams and our defense was really good and/or the offense was showing it's full diversity and not just taking 3's that is proof that they've been coached in what to do. However, as has been noted before, young teams don't always do what they've been coached to do over 82 games. Just as quickly as we've fallen into poor play, this team can put a good stretch together. It's not always due to bad coaching.

In Byron's case his team has ever shown any sign of getting it and there's a huge difference between The knicks performance this year which has been up and down and the Cavs, which has been just down.

how anyone could have watched the Mike D'Antoni show with Breen and actually say he doesn't watch tape must be legally blind and only watching for the audio
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

That's about as dumb as saying Obama isn't an American citizen cause he hasn't shown each and every one of us his birth certificate when someone decides to say he hasn't seen it.

I think if Scott knew for certain that LBJ was taking his talents to South Beach he would of passed on the job. Scott's a decent coach and its unfair to say he is a product of his players and staff. All coaches have this issue, he took the nets to 2 finals, grant it the east really sucked, but they still went and he did ok with NO. He's not a top tier coach, but he is a decent coach. He needs to find a team like the "celtics"

I view him how i view Doc Rivers, Rivers is a good coach, he's not a great coach, but a good one. The fact that he was a player from the 80s and played with superstars and actually contributed gives him credibility with the players.

The team also lost - Shaq, West, Big Z and Williams and Varejo have been injured. Lebron was and is the best player in the NBA. Kobe doesn't get that team to 50 wins.

They also beat us in the most disgraceful loss of the season. That team has no fight and it has nothing to Scott. They don't have talent.

Nothing to do with scott, what r u kidding me....the team lost 26 games in a row, no profesional franchise in their exsistence has done that, are you comprehended this...

12 d-league guys should be able to win 1 game..there not losing games all because of talent, they make some of the dumbest plays, don't play hard 90% of the time, in some cases they look like mo, larry, and curly..
