Just sitting thinking, when gallo went out, chandler had some eye opening games, it even promted donnie to assure fans that he would be resign. When chandler went down, gallo stared playing for 4 quarters as oppose to his great quarter, and 3 quarterss of non exsistence.

When they play together, niether plays consistant at all, im almost thinking that there stunting each others growth. A few weeks ago, I wouldn't have thought about this at all, but a few weeks ago, chandler (arguable)couldn't be touch, now it appears gallo is the untouchable.

Now if melo comes here, I have no doubt in my mind, that either one of them (who ever is not part of a deal) will completely become a non factor. Mind as well trade both to get melo if thats what they want.

Well... I think right now we're talking about fairly consistent production of ~30ppg/12rpg between the two of them. That's kind of the nature of the situation. A lot of it comes down to a finite amount of ball available.

Would we be better served losing one of them, swapping in a somewhat more specialized role player (Shawne Williams, for example) to allow Chandler or Gallo to average 18-20ppg, with the role player avging 10-12?

Yes, having both of them limits both of their production, but the flip side is that if teams focus on guarding one of them, it probably means that other is going to compensate.

well to be fair, when gallo got hurt, chandler had that great game vs the spurs and the following games were pretty much average, meaning, around his season average or a bit above, I would not say, eye opening.... I just think the slump hit him and it was starting a bit earlier than we may have realized.. although there is some evidence that he and gallo don't seem to play exceptionally well together... I think part of that has to do with chandler style.. he really is not a passer and has tunnel vision going to the hoop.. fields and gallo play well together..

Fields plays well with anyone. But at the same time... Fields is really maxing out on the scope of his role on the team. (he's the #4 scoring option on the team)

You don't really get a sense of what he'd be able to do if the team ran some plays for him. I'd imagine he could do a lot more.

I think one of them has to be a 6th man and solidifies a nasty second unit. But with all the trade talks I think we will see one of them go.

The nature of the pecking order in the offense plays a lot to their performance. Both are averaging 15-17 pts a game and that is what you should expect from the 3rd and 4th option.

Chandler's contract is up, and with the Fa's we are attracting there is no reason to let him eat up 8 million a year or whatever he's looking for. The only way we should really consider keeping will is if he would accept the MLE
