2000-2001 48-34
2001-2002 30-52
2002-2003 37-45
2003-2004 39-43
2004-2005 33-49
2005-2006 23-59
2006-2007 33-49
2007-2008 23-59
2008-2009 32-50
2009-2010 29-53
This year 25-24

We haven't had a winning since the 2000-2001 season. We haven't made the playoffs since the 2003-2004 season and that was with a sub .500 team. 9 straight
losing seasons starting with the 2001-2002 season.

Today we're at 25-24 with a great chance to make the playoffs. Sure, losing to the Sixers last night is aggravating, especially when it's a game they should have won but
this team will suprise us from time to time and beat a team like the Spurs or Nuggets.

I want the Knicks to win just as bad as the next person but it's not going to happen this year. We need more than a big man and a backup PG. We finally have a franchise player again, cap room and young, talented players and a GM who knows what he's doing. The Knicks are a piece or two away from being contenders again and I'm excited. Whether a piece that gets us a step closer comes this year or next year I'm excited and happy with where we're heading.

Of course, as fans, we're all going to complain and moan when things aren't going well but this team is heading down the right path. Let's go Knicks - Orange & blue for life people and let's keep things in perspective.

a bad loss to a team we should beat complete with a 4th quarter collapse is gonna overrule perspective for a while.

Since the 13-1 win streak the Knicks are winning only 38%of the time. That is over 24 games. The Miami win was great but the team and coach are producing right where they have been the past two years for the last 24 games and the entire year if you take out the win streak. I think there is cause for concern.

i love how you want to throw out the results of 29% of their games this year because they don’t match up with your agenda.

Everything is great since 12/12. The Knicks beat Miami and won 8 other times.

They simple fact of the matter is that they won 13 out of 14 games at one point in the season. They just played a tough part of their schedule and during that streak they did beat some quality teams. There's 33 games left on the schdule and even a record of 17-16 record has them finising with a winning reord for the 1st time in 10 years. Looking at the rest of the schedule they should do better than 17-16 the rest of the way. If DW can get them some help I think they can do much better than 17-16.

a lot of ups and downs over the course of the season. as i recall the majority of posters on this site predicted 41-45 wins on the year. currently we're on pace for 42. when we were in a winning streak we were on pace for 52. when we were in an early losing streak we were on pace for 22.

the losses suck and the winnable losses like last night suck particularly bad. being in a negative streak like we are right now is no fun. parsing the numbers to try to claim that we're the same team we have been for the last 2 years is - pardon me - stupid.

If you look at the matchups on paper since 12/12 the Knicks should have beaten the Cavs, Kings, Suns, Rockets and the Sixers.

Who else did they lose to? Celtics, Heat twice, Magic, Lakers, Jazz, Spurs, Thunder, Hawks, and the Mavs. That's 10 losses to playoff bound, quality teams. Yeah it sucks to lose to teams that they should beat but the Knicks should be playoff bound.

You're rigth. I think I am pretty irked that D'Antoni didn't come out and defend Walsh when he had the chance and I am reacting a bit.

Is this really a 500 team? I see a downward trend.

It was said by many at the beginning of the season. Its not a straight line.

But it will all be sorted out on the court in due time.

Seems that Walsh is taking care of Walsh and I see nothing that MDA said that would indicate kicking him under the bus.

For all we know they might not even like each other.

A neutral stance in public is the proper response.

The loss to Philly hurts, but we just got through our toughest month of the season. The rest of the season has a few tough games (ie. Orlando, Boston, a couple games against Western powerhouses like Lakers/Mavs), but for the most part, the schedule is much easier from here on.

I still have faith that we'll finish the season at around .500.

I thought fifty was reasonable, but yea, this is still a huge improvement i am happy. We need averted point guard though.

been trying to tell the overly optimistic all year long that teams like ours are gonna go through their peaks & valleys through the course of the season but in the end you are what your roster says you are, & since the beginning of the season our roster says we're more or less a .500 win team... we need to add another major piece if we want to get to the next level.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
