I know this has been talked about before--but this guy is just dominating. I know Mosgov had a good game last night but this is like getting a top 15 pick who has a long career in the NBA ahead of him. My belief is keep investing in younger talent that makes sense for us. Drop Mason pick up Adrien before someone else does.

The team he has been on has won the last 14/15 games.

It looks like he still he hasn't developed his outside shot. Without a J, Adrien will be nothing more than another energy guy off the bench. I'm not that high on him and he's kind of redundant the way our roster stands now. Have you seen this Oriene Greene guy play recently? It looks like he's really stepped up his perimeter game since he left college and he can handle the ball.

is there a reason why DW wants to stay under the cap? If we are under the cap, from the trade deadline till the season starts next year, how does it affect trades?

Jeff was a good mid range shooter in college and now he apparently is much better. It's a combination of things, rebounding scoring hard working toughness winning down there increased skills etc... weve been very deficient in terms of rebounding and hes very good at it. Mason will never help the team.

I agree with this 100%. I said it 1000 times already and I'll say it 1000 more -- cut Mason already and go offer Jeff Adrien a 10-day contract. He'll easily stick after the 10 days and become an asset that will contribute in every area you just mentioned. Why the loyalty to Mason? That's what I can't understand for the life of me..He seems like a good guy, offering encouragement on the bench to younger players, maintaining a positive outlook despite not playing, etc..but the fact remains that we have PLENTY of off-guard depth ahead of Roger Mason, not to mention he looked dreadful in every opportunity he was given early on. A roster swap of Mason for a guy like Jeff Adrien should be such a no-brainer for Donnie...I don't know what he's thinking...I just hope whoever is monitoring the D-League for us is constantly in Donnie's ear about what's going on down there..There's a lot of players down there that are playing very well, Adrien is just one of them..He does seem like a very good fit for us.

the Knicks, for whatever reason, do not believe in the D-league... which is BS. I'll admit I know nothing about the league, but peopel were screaming to pick up Will Bynum last season, and he looked really good last night.

I agree that this might have something to do with it but just as a fan on the outside looking in, I don't see how letting Mason Jr. go & acquiring a skilled D-league player for negligible money on a 10-day contract impacts anything Melo (say a guy like Adrien came in and showed well and we signed him for the rest of the year---whatever he would get won't be as much as whatever Mason's owed)..First, we will be the ones sending multiple players in the deal in an attempt to equal Melo's salary so we'll have open roster spots, spots that we'll have to fill eventually..Second, Mason was only signed to a $1.4M contract if memory serves -- how does that minor contact impact a Melo trade either way?? Correct me if I'm wrong but I was always under the assumption that we can include up to $3M cash to offset any deal while also finalizing a trade several million short or ahead (NBA deals need to be close but not necessarily exact down to the penny) plus Mason wouldn't help the Nuggets in any way as a player (they'd probably prefer he not be included in a potential deal I bet). He's not a desireable asset anymore. I just don't see how Roger Mason Jr. could be viewed as a dealbreaker in any potential trade with Denver. There's got to be ways to keep all of our top assets intact and ready to go for something involving Anthony while also executing minor stuff like this to improve the current roster.
