You have head damage. If there's anyone on this board who thinks a package of Gallo, Fields, AR Pick(s) & Curry is too much to give up you don't know basketball and shouldn't be talking about it. Melo is not a guy to lead a team to a championship but we don't need him for that which is why STAT is here. Batman needed Robin and STAT needs Melo.

There is no player better than Melo who will be available anytime soon. I know I'm beating a dead horse here but I can't beleive the reasoning behind some of the comments made. Melo is not that good, the players we would have to give up have potential, etc. Melo is 27, STAT is 28, Felton is 26. That's the big 3 right there. In fact, if Denver wants Walker, through him in the mix as well.

PS - Let's not speculate on what the Knicks will be missing...DW will take care of it and if a trade is made there will be more than Melo coming back.

So Melo cant lead us to a championship and Amare can? Melo is better than Amare and if we get Melo that will be VERY apparent.

It take more than talent to win a championship, it takes leadership as well. Melo is a better player but STAT is definately a better leader. It's known in the NBA that MELO is not the guy to get on his mates and defers the role. Look at Nuggets right now. Melo is the man but Billups is the leader.

If Melo does get here he'll be the better player but it will still be STAT's team.

all you wanted to say is that people opposed to adding melo have brain damage? Why couldn't you do that in one of the other billion threads already on Melo?

I can't take much more losing. It was bad enough watching MJ kill us year after year, sitting through Game 7 against the Rockets watching Starks as he tried to build a house and watching the Knicks lose to Spurs with Ewing on the bench. 9 STRAIGHT LOSING SEAONS!!!!!!!!!

Melo is available, the Knicks may be able to get him and people are against it!

The same posters who don't want Carmelo Anthony here are the same posters who didn't want Amar'e Stoudemire or even Raymond Felton because his arms were too short.

I want all of you to stay up past your bed time and watch the Denver/Lakers game tonight. And see the difference between players like Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari and a Star like Carmelo Anthony.

The only issue you can really say is money. He eats up a ton of a cap with that extension. I think some people look at too many stats and dont watch enough games. Either that or some people's logic is kinda twisted.

Gallo MUST stay in New York.
