We are desperate DESPERATE for a big man who can defend and rebound and run the floor.

uh... am I missing something? We have ANTHONY RANDOLPH. Why can't he get a look? He needs to play.

This is ridiculous. Play AR.

My first thought as well. But I wish they'd just been playing him all along. Make him part of the team on the floor. It's a shame how his situation has evolved into one where he doesn't want to be here. It seems highly effective alienation is one of big faults. It's like you don't just fall out of favor, but you become useless somehow and there's getting back on the coach's good side.

Because He does not defend and rebound. He blocks shots. If he blows his defensive assignment to get a youtube worthy block its good but the reality is he would get burned more times than not.

Now Im MDA but if the kid has not shown this ability to play in his system then he won't play. If he is trade meat thats one thing, if he is still a project thats for the staff to work out.

I think we all want him to do well. Coaches and GMs around the league know what the deal is with him. As long as the "Potential" tag is on him he has value.

Would have been nice to see AR develop a quick spin move with his back to the basket. He has the quickness.

If AR really wants to play then he should watch what Landry Fields does and emulate him. Cut to the basket. Rebound. Defend. Stop trying to be Lamar Odom and try to go coast-to-coast for a highlight reel. Just play sound, fundamental basketball. Hustle in practice!!!

This thread is a joke, right? Anthony Randolph is a bum. A 12th man. Just because you're athletic, it doesn't mean to you can play. Randolph has no jumper, no post-game and simply doesn't play like a big man. He thinks he's a SG taking dumb shots off the dribble and he's not. Trade this bust before he's not even worth a 2nd rounder.

the team needs guys who are hungry right now... I'm not opposed to seeing what he can bring to the table. the team is so apathetic that maybe injecting a guy who wants playing time might help a few things out

if we already have a trade in place to get a 1st round pick for him then i say don't play him & risk injury... i'd rather use him as a trade asset at this point than to hope we catch lightning in a bottle w/him especially w/the way MDA hasn't used him this season.
