As great as he has played--his slump has put the rest of the team into one. I think he needs to orchestrate first--guys have to move more--its too Amare centric again--we need movement and we need the PG to move the ball to an open man first shot second. It seems like its gone back to too much individual not enough team and hurting us on both ends--as the PG he has to be the leader on the court and make sure thihngs move smoothly. Hes been so good and I know hes hurt---really a tough situation.

Remember the high ankle sprain he got in Portland? Remember how he's playing through it? Lay off my midget general.

...which is to say - we really need a backup point guard. Felton is hurt.

also, I don't think you can pretend the team is ignoring the Melo stuff anymore. They're human. They have the internet.

Felton runs the pick and roll... and...

Felton is hurt, playing with a banged up shooting hand and a banged up ankle - meaning he can't shoot or run the pick and roll

but he's healthy enough to play & give us 40 minutes? i don't buy that as a reason... if he was so hindered by injury that he can't run a simple PnR then he wouldn't even be playing.

You can only blame so much on an injury, its also poor decision making.

I also don't buy that....

If your hurt pass the ball.....

Your on the court so pass and don't shoot..

Everyone has figured him out..... He passes to Amare and Ill Will on 80 % of the plays.

We play our best when ball moves around and even injured if your playing u can pass the ball.

He is shooting way too much for someone injured!!

no one complained about him shooting too much when he was making them and leading this team to wins.

now he's a villain because he's clearly playing through injury? are you ****ing kidding me? are you ****ing kidding me? seriously?

"you can pass the ball if you're injured" is something you say if you have zero understanding of running the point guard position. good ****ing lord.

give me a ****ing break.

it's not just Ray... it's the whole team... there's zero movement w/o the ball other than Landry going in for possible offensive putbacks... it's become the Patrick Ewing style offense... dump the ball in to the big fella & get out of his way... Amare's struggled to get off his shots vs. teams crowding the paint, & tonight Hayes & Jordan Hill did a good job of making him work for every shot he got off... no one else on the team other than Toney Douglas even showed a pulse tonight.

I don't disagree at all but Felton has the ball 90% of the time..... It falls mainly on him.

Gallo looked off but he was playing hard just probably in pre-season form missing 2 weeks.

Practice going long hurt him more then anyone IMO

Im not knocking Felton at all

I actually play PG and if I'm hurting I look to my team more so thats where my opinion comes from.

I understand Felton is playing hurt and grinding it out and give duke mad props for all he has done so far.
That being said ...... I still say we are losing largely due to Felton right now.

Thats pretty clear to me from watching the games

Even when Felton was playing great I was stressing the dire need for a back up PG

So no Im not kidding you

Felton is part of the problem right now. Look at it like this:

Stoudemire is not being dominant and not rebounding enough.

We had guys missing layup after layup.

Felton should be playing more consistent.

Fields could be asserting himself more on offense, if Chandler and Gallo AND Fields aren't giving anything.

Turiaf has to stay on the court. Meaning, we need a big man.

Our defense was a little better today, but still needs to be better. We let a lot of guys his layups. Our interior D' is simply bad.

Douglas isn't a point guard.

There's too much going on that's wrong right now. It's hard to pinpoint it all on Felton, but yes, he either needs to get healthy, or manup and play better.

I admire Felton for playing hurt but I agree that his decision making since the Utah game has been terrible. If he was so hurt he wouldn't take those he'll bent drives to the rack so many times.

Part of it may be that he fell n love wh his shot and the all star talk. I hope not. I personally think he'll be fine assuming he realizes the team goes as he goes... more so than Amar'e perhaps.

I hear you......

We have plenty of problems ......

Topic was Felton so thats why i only mentioned him.

Def not pointing him out ..... As a team we need to play MUCH better if we want to make any noise

Trade bull shat doesnt help either

Same thing with Douglas right? If you're hurt pass the ball right? Yet excuses are made for him
