"The guess here is that if the Knicks acquire Anthony, they will give up Chandler or Gallinari (not both), Fields, Walker, Anthony Randolph (or a No. 1 obtained through a Randolph trade), Eddy Curry, plus an additional No. 1 pick (perhaps New York's own 2014 pick), with the Knicks getting back an additional big body -- something they've been scouring the league for throughout December and the first half of January. And I'm not necessarily saying the Nuggets would be taking on all those pieces, because a three-team trade might make it easier for everyone to walk away satisfied."

LOL

So that is what I suggested we offer before the season even started.

Gallo, Fields, 1st rounder(Randolph), Future 1st, and Curry

Al Harrington is not a big body we're looking for.

i think the article was suggesting that the Knicks would be getting back a C along w/Melo in that trade off.

Not a fan of this at all.

Knicks go all in for nene and melo.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4r28lr7
Dantoni/Walsh bite the bullet rolling the dice and sends gallo and Chandler to the nuggets for melo and nene
Curry, AR (or first round traded for) additional first round walker and azubuike, mason and turiaf (salary match)

Knicks keep the 8 man rotation:
Nene
Amare
Melo
Fields (yep, we keep him)
Felton

Bench:
Timofey, walker, Douglas and Williams

Immediate contenders.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

me too... for Nene, not for Harrington or dopefiend birdman. Those guys totally kill it for me. I would trade Gallo, Fields or Chandler (just one) straight up for Nene right now, so including an extra one and getting Nene back works for me just fine

I don't think there is any way to make the salaries work for Nene & Melo to come here & not ship back either Amare or Felton!

The big could come from another team. Thats five bodies we are shipping out.

Walsh has to get his big on this deal because he can't over the cap.

Anyone thinking Biedrins from Golden state? Dude came off injury and has not returned to form this season and not getting the minutes he used to. He is over paid. Not what he is right now but what he could return to form as.

The big body is obviously Chris Andersen, who would help us.

When he's healthy and not smoking pot or getting tats, Chris Andersen is a solid backup big man who can rebound, block shots, defend and bring energy. Like another Ronny Turiaf. But he's not homegrown so you won't like him.

Probably Melvin Ely is the big they are talking about.

great... so we get a guy who will play 15 minutes in 50 games a year. That actually hurts more than helps. If its not Nene dont bother. Birdman is entertaining but he makes Turiaf look like ironman

Any other suggestions?

I could deal with that. He is a big that would work.
