Better get your eyes checked.
I still would like to see a move for Maynor, an underrated pick and roll expert in order to put Amare in more effortless scoring opportunities. We need to be able to play small ball for 48 minutes on certain nights when that is the favorable matchup and having a real backup PG is essential to that.
However, Mike needs to recognize the nights where Turiaf should be in there a little better. Gallo would normally sit with Turiaf in there, but he's going to have to start, not because he's better than Chandler, but because he's still inconsistent. (not as bad as he used to be) Chandler brings it every night. He can come off the bench because he's better than Gallo just like Jason Terry and Crawford are much better than the guys starting ahead of them.
why stop... stop telling what I feel is the truth? Honestly, the knicks can do two things that would make us better.. sit chandler as a 6th man...He is a limited player when he has to do anything else than take an open shot.. those drives to the lane with that crazy windmill move is getting defended well.. guys can see that coming a mile away.. chandler needs to go up against the matchups off the bench vs the other teams bigs.. that is where most of his success comes..
I would love to upgrade this team with mayo at SG, and have fields come off the bench as well.. I think fields will be great in that role. and then get us a starting center... then you will have the balance on the floor with felton, mayo, gallo, amare and a center... and your wing players are guys who can defend, score, pass and a high level of ball IQ out there... and then you can bring in fields who still will get 25-30 min a game and he can still give you the same production.. chandler can come in and shoot away... something he is good at.... gallo is a better all around talent... period, mayo would be a better all around talent at SG.... it strengthens our first as well as our bench... two fold...
unfortunately knicks don't seem to be intersted in mayo except as a trade piece...
