i'm guessing AR & contract filler
Mayo has a managable contract, but Nugs already have Afflalo and Smith at the the 2. They'll need more than Mayo. However, Mayos presence in the deal might allow us to retain one of Gallo of Wilson. Just a thought.

i don't think they're too enraptured w/JR Smith anyway... he's been in & out of Karl's doghouse for a while now... who knows, maybe he's on his way back to MEM as part of this trade?

I like the sound of this. It's the kind of resourceful, creative move that Walsh is capable of engineering to get the prize without fleecing the team. Gotta say that right now I trust Walsh to do the right thing.

Is ZBo really the center we've needed next to STAT all along?
- rebounds like crazy - can score from outside - mobile
I would try to trade Williams, Walker, or Gallo before Danillo comes back from injury because they'll all be at top value and they all have repetitive skills.
Alan Hahn:
Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

He doesn't block. Or play D in general, at least from what I remember of him when he played for us.

I would almost rather get Zach than Carmelo. Our biggest weakness is girth in the middle and rebounding. We've got plenty of blocked shots. What we need is rebounding and size in the middle.

Zach wouldn't be the right fit. He'd slowdown the flow of the offense and clog things up for Amare too much. I'm not sure about his mobility either. I think someone who could run the floor and be more defensive minded would be better. I just can't foresee how you could space the floor properly with Zach. Just like Shaq and Amare didnt make a lot of sense together either...
