When you check the turnaround on the season record, it is not that crazy. The Old man has done an amazing job.

Consider that while:

- people coveted Chris Paul - Donnie stole Ray Ray from Charlotte to set a tone of toughness

- the draft experts slurped everyone else - Donnie got booed on draft night for some unknown out of Stanford. Stanford?

- Carmelo rumors floated on the hour - he stuck with Wilson Chandler. The dunk last night was super sick.

- Lebron was taking his talents to South Beach - Amare was taking his talents on a tour of midtown Manhattan on a double decker bus

- draft prospects were being worked out, the entire NY press tribe missed an undercover seven foot Russian walking through Kennedy airport

- David Lee was unpacking in Oakland - Gallo was lacing up his orange Reeboks and learning the joy of the pump fake

- Al Harrington was running in Denver, Toney Douglas was learning to run the offense and Bill Walker was running out of headbands

- People were getting sentimental over Patrick Ewing Junior - Shawne Williams was getting a second chance from the guy who help to draft him in the first place

He plays for the Idaho Stampede and his stats, while not gaudy, are solid. 47 per cent from the field, avg 5/5 in 15 minutes average.

yeah....i just don't see any D-leaguer's getting playing time...if MDA is gonna work a big man in to the rotation, it's Moz...or the acquisition of an established NBA talent via trade....Moz was most effective on defense when he was aggressive, fouls be damned...and i am confident he can score once he regains his confidence...i'm still amazed when i see moz standing next to other big players...that dude is HUGE....and skilled...he does look like of bit of a rube ...but dahum...coming to the NBA id a huge adjustment for the kid...he needs to get his NY on!

yea. remember after the worlds a whole thread here proclaimed he would have been the 5th pick in the draft coming off that performance. including the game against the US.

Rookie - offering Boateng as a reasonable, low risk option is not about playing time or the rotation.

Boateng provides low cost insurance in the event Turiaf goes brittle. A healthy third center would be a good thing.
