The Cavaliers will be without Anderson Varejao for the remainder of the season.

Varejao has a torn ankle tendon that will require surgery.

"It's a big blow," coach Byron Scott said. "Arguably, he's been our best player."

Varejao suffered the injury while running in practice on Thursday as the Cavaliers prepared for a five-game road trip.

He underwent a second MRI on Sunday that revealed "a complete tear of the peroneus longus in the midfoot of the right ankle and foot."

What a shame cause he a very good compliment to a playoff team.

What do you guys think about a trade for KMart to bring some physicality to this team in a form that D'Antoni could actually love?

His contract expires this season. We could throw them cheap talent like Walker who we would have to renounce anyway along with our expirings to make it work.

Gallo/TD/Turiaf/Williams

That team is much more flexible against bigger teams without giving up our style of play.
