Is getting T'd up as a result of his actions or is he getting the sheed treament.

He's got 10 now 6 to go with more then half a season left before suspensions. This supension may come at a cruicial juncture of the season, a must win game...

I personally think he's accountable, and his teammates and coaches need to get on him especially ray, the co captin

Amar`e should def cool down, but Im willing to bet that his techs are just a result of drawing attention to himself. He strikes me as a loud person, on the court, vocally. Maybe he doesnt mean to be harsh to the refs, but a guy like that may rubs the refs the wrong wY anyway..... or he could simply act like a douchebag to the refs.

Dwight Howard has more Ts than Amar'e. I don't think Amar'e is getting preferential treatment from the refs one way or the other. He's gotten some plays where the refs have let him get away with more complaining than they should so he doesn't get his second for a game and get ejected.

BUT, i have to say - if the NBA is going to keep this quick technical rule, they should change the rule about 16 techs equaling a suspension. It should be more like 20 techs.

Over the years I think these guys; Amare and Howard are good examples, have gotten accustomed to being allowed to complain pretty often.

They just need to adjust a bit!!

I don't think the League wants superstars suspended. They want the demonstrative complaints to cool down. I think they've achieved/are achieving that goal and will lighten up on the quick T's as the season progresses. It's not only the suspensions at stake. Sometimes the extra point swings a game.

They had to follow the letter of the "law" to get players' attention. Now that they've changed people's behavior, they can give a little more latitude. At least that's what I hope. Because some of the quick T's seem over the top to me.

He's getting so many T's because he wants to win that badly and the refs are all puppets of that major dweeb Stern who runs the league. The new rules are lame. What would Oakley do if he played in the NBA today. He'd have 16 Ts a week.

Kobe's getting a hell of a lot of T's himself this season.

His techs are the results of uneven calls perpetrated by the refs. In an attempt to have a free wheeling game, the refs let some things go, then in the middle of the game, as things get chippy, the refs want to rein the players in. What was not a foul becomes one. Some kind of consistency must be established.

I dont like the rule cuz it's just too hard to play a contact sport and fight hard and not get emotional. The Whistle comes so quick that it doesn't allow for a natural emotional response. Especially high contact guys like Howard and Amar'e. They will be involved in more contact than other players by the very nature of their roles. Can't the Refs at least take that into consideration. Kyle Korver or some other guys that stay out of the fray shouldn't be allowed to moan, but bigs that get hit over ad over and are involved in more CLOSE CALLS too should be given a bit more of a break.

That T against the Spurs was ridiculous: Gives the ref a look with his outstretched hands, turns around and starts to walk away, claps his hands and says "come on"

That "get that mess out of here" T was as well (and fortunately the NBA agreed).

The refs are consistently letting teams play harder this year across the board, so if these T's are the tradeoff, so be it.

But highly annoying
