I saw that Sam Dalembert is out there now. He want on my radar until I just read he has an expiring $12 mil contract.

Thoughts?

Would you do something like Curry, Randolph, and $3 mil for Sammy and a 1st?

More likely that they'd take a lesser prospect and ask us to throw in a #2. You're not going to get a lotto pick back from them so I wouldn't give up Randolph.

How about Sammy and Curry swap for a future 2nd rounder and a little cash to make it even.

I'm still talking to the T-Wolves about trading Eisley for KG. It's almost done!

sure, as long as they're throwing in Tyreke Evans.

Hmmmm...

I like Casspi a lot(for some reason it would make it a lot easier for me to accept the possibility of losing Gallo if we had Casspi on the roster- he was a guy I gave some thought to in that draft), and Dalembert would obviously fit a major need for us.

This kind of trade would fill needs and give us added flexibility.

Also a great marketing trade- NYC is the place for Casspi in terms of advertising gigs.

Why would the Kings want to do it, though?

To be honest, I would think about trading AR for Casspi straight up if the Knicks' coaches feel that AR cannot play on this team. Casspi doesn't have his upside, but is much more "system-friendly" at this point.

I think Sac would do that..Not sure I would though -- I still think AR has major talent not to mention some good value still -- MDA sabotaging all this kid's PT has little bearing in this. The man is still a jewel of a prospect as far as I'm concerned. I'm just not that enthralled with the idea of losing him for less than what he's worth..But hey if this coach is never gonna play the guy then maybe you pull the trigger on something like this..After this season concludes (and Dalembert's let go for cap reasons) this deal would likely boil down to this: AR + 2 future 2nd round picks (I don't think we have a 2nd rounder this summer; it goes to the Lakers in the TD trade) or Omri Casspi..I think I'd rather move forward with Randolph and the picks..We talked about something similar yesterday, only with Gallo in place of Randolph and I didn't even know about that..Truth is I like Randolph better than Gallo & Casspi..

To be honest, I wouldn't want Evans if I had to give up anyone valuable to get him. I think he's taken a step back this year as teams have figured out that he cannot hit a J. He has not turned out to be a PG, like some claimed he was, and has no outside game at all. Not a good fit on the Knicks, IMO.

i was just being facetious, i don't think they're looking to trade him anyways... i think a Dally & Casspi deal is realistic though.

I know, but I've been surprise at Evans this year. Starting with that idiotic driving incident.

We all talk about how guys evolve as players- it does not look like Evans did much to improve the weakest aspect of his game- his shot.

Curry was the better of the two in that draft, IMO.

i don't see much opportunity for AR to ever realize his potential here... like Paladin said, even though AR has more upside & talent, i think Casspi will be more "system friendly" & likely would have a shot to contribute on a larger scale... i think AR belongs on a rebuilding team with a coach who will be patient enough to let him go through his growing pains & mature on the court... i think Casspi will be a lot more coachable & a better fit into MDA's system because of his 3 pt shooting ability... he's also a capable defender... only thing is unless we trade Gallo in a separate deal i don't see where he really gets much playing time (unless he's replacing Shawne Williams).

i haven't watched much Kings ball this year so i'll take ur word for it... Stephen Curry has turned out nice too, but i'm happy w/our current PG situation w/Ray Felton

What's your gut telling you about Melo right now T -- you still think he's an option for us or do you think it's gonna be tough to get him?

my gut feeling is we're gonna make a trade for him... i dunno why i get that feeling but i don't see any way we're gonna fit Melo into our cap situation while re-signing Wilson this summer... i think DEN is eventually gonna blink & accept a Knicks' offer for Melo in a trade package cuz i don't see him signing an extension with any other team.
