Love Talks About Possibly Leaving Timberwolves
More Timberwolves News

Jan 05, 2011 8:38 AM EST

Kevin Love has emerged as a legitimate superstar this season, leading the NBA in rebounding by a large margin.

His relationship with Minnesota coach Kurt Rambis has been strained, mainly over differences relating to playing time.

The Timberwolves are struggling, but Love is aware that the team has a brighter future.

"I can see a light at the end of the tunnel," he said. "I couldn't see it last year."

Love is eligible to sign a contract extension this summer, but admits he does think about free agency.

"We'll see what happens with what David Kahn and the front office want to do," Love said. "If it's right, it's right. If it's not, it's not. I could end up somewhere else. I just want to play for a team that wants to win at this point. At this point, I just want to win now."

I wouldn't mind getting Kevin Love, but what do we give up to acquire him? If we could get him for Gallo + a pick, sure. Amar'e, Love, Chandler, Fields, and Felton would be a hell of a lineup and at least then, we can justify playing without a true center.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Free agent not this summer, but year after?

He is sending a message. Dude is a SoCal boy. His uncle is Mike Love, Singer for Beach Boys.

Minnesota can't be his dream locale.

They got beaches in Brooklyn!

You'd have to trade for him. They'd be retarded to take Gallo and AR for Love, but there aren't many young front court tandems that would be better than that for STAT.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

that would be a good trade......for us Love and Stat at the 4/5 would be a good pairing....it does help us with rebounding, but don't think it's an upgrade on D. This team doesn't need help scoring...they need a defensive presence in the paint who can board..and also...score 10-12.....so i'd probably pass on Love

I think Big Baby is the best possible match long term (Camby in a 1 year scenario). I don't know what it would take to pry him away in the offseason. You may see the Celts get hamstrung by the CBA. They may not be able to offer him anything.

Kevin Love would be great for NY, he would start at C and keep Stat at pf. NY would have a fearsome 5, 4 punch.
Knicks are happening and have a Unicorn.
