The mayor played his natural position last night and scored a career high. he really shut down RJ on the defense, and over powered him on the offense those windmill layups were awesome. if he keeps this up playing sf what is to happen when gallo comes back? put him back at the power forward or keep him at the sf and bring in gallo as our 6th man.

If the knicks win every game for 2-3 weeks then you have cause to change.

It was one game.

You lose your team if you mess with the roster game to game.

MDA uses wings and forwards and one point. Im not sure wilsons spot on the floor really changed other than he to more touches. Gallo is not taking more than 8-10 shots of late.

Spurs were looking ahead to Boston and they underestimated us.

What you saw more last nite was the fast start with Turiaf helping AMare early.

Even when Chandler was coming off the bench he played Starters minutes.

Coaches know what they are doing. IT just does not always work.

I agree with Nalod, if we go on a 5 game winning streak from here, then yes, you have to consider bringing Gallo of the bench, or trading him in a trade that brings us back a good starting C and backup big/swing/guard players to improve the bench, along with AR, Curry etc.

I feel that if we prove over the next 5-6 games that this level of play is for real, we should be a legit title contender with a real starting C and an improved bench.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

the team is 6-1 w/Turiaf starting games... i don't think this is by accident... not saying Turiaf is responsible obviously, but playing Wilson, Gallo & Amare at their natural positions creates the most balance to our roster.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

We play a very versatile rotation and that's been Mike style for years. High post PF is a position, PG is a position, and sometimes C is a position when he decides to use one, but most of the time all wings are pretty much interchangeable. I like it. The offense can flow and players can just be BB players and not worry so much about specific duties. It rewards guys that have BB skills and may not have an actual position. Guys like Diaw and even Marion. Mike does well with guys that are kind of tweeners.

We said benching Chandler was the answer because he started lighting up other teams, then starting him was the answer, then playing G, now SF. I suppose that's a good thing because it shows that he isn't one dimensional. If he can stay consistently aggressive like he has been lately, he can write his own ticket at any position.

The New York press needs to start printing more stupid comments from opposing SFs.
