All ESPN-produced stories on its website refer to the Rose Bowl Game Presented by VIZIO. That is truly shameful.

Holy crap.

Well, that's the official name. Like the TicketCity bowl. For example, http://www.thecypresstimes.com/article/Sports/College/TCU_HOSTS_PREGAME_PEP_RALLY_IN_LA_LIVE/38197

But yea, the names are bogus. "NBA Finals presented by Spalding". Bogus, man.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

It's not the Vizio Bowl is it?

Or has the name literally changed to "Rose Bowl Presented By Vizio"?

It's the Rose Bowl. And ESPN got extra $ to include the name Vizio in their articles... I think that is the assumption.

For many years the Rose Bowl eschewed sponsorship, but for the 1999 Rose Bowl, the game became known as The Rose Bowl Game presented by AT&T. Unlike the other bowl games, the sponsor was not added to the title of the game, but instead as a presenter.
- from the Rose Bowl wiki.

The name is literally changed to Rose Bowl Presented by Vizio. At least they still have Rose Bowl in the name :(.

Just a very sad sign of the times, I'm afraid.

I think it's an entirely different step to add the "Presented by Vizio" part to articles.
