I just don't see it. Mike wants to have a guy that is big enough to hold his own, but is really more of a guy that can shoot and rebound away from the basket. If you have Amar'e and you put a C in there that has a jumper and can leave the middle open, then you've got a winning combo. You just want to make sure that the player can rebound.

I could see Ernie Grunfeld laughing himself to death after hearing this trade proposal. No way they give up a young, cheap big like McGee for Gallo. They are stuck with Rashard Lewis now. They don't need another 6'10" three point shooter.

No chance man McGee is center that will get no run here. He will be sitting right next to Mozgov and AR. McGee doesn't fit the criteria for MDA system. Although Thorton might be able to play center for MDA.

I think McGee would play here, but I'd hate to give up Gallo for him and Thornton. I'd be more interested if, instead of Thornton, they'd include Nick Young.
