These trades would help us more than hurt us.

A nice 3 way deal which everyone comes away happy is:

NYK receives Carmelo Anthony, Renaldo balkman from Den--they know he's not resigning with them
ORL receives Danilo Gallinari(ny), Al Harrington and Ty lawson from Den---would get even more depth and make them better
Den receives Azubuike,Curry,Randolph,Walker (ny), Redick and nelson from ORl---cap relief and good pieces to build with

Lance Stephenson for Andy Rautins (Indy aint playin lance, we aint playin andy. Yes lance has had some off court issues but so has shawne williams. Andy has given us ZERO production, And atleast stephenson lit up the summer league)

2)Dont know who we'd give up but i like (Austin Daye and Jonas Jerebko from det)

3)Azubuike and mason jr for Reggie evans (evans is a rebounding machine)
3A) Douglas and a second rounder for Bayless (bayless shot 5-7 from 3pt against us, and can run an offense)

4)Toney douglas for Courtney lee (this is a 50-50)

5) I read an article the other day sayin Jordan wants to do away with DJ augustin (douglas and mason)

6) possible 3 team trade benefiting everyone would be (NYK receives augustin(cha),wright(GS) (Char receives Azubuike,Radmanovic,Randolph) (GS receives Wallace, Douglas)

7) The nets will never do business with us but this trade works as well.
NYK receives (morrow(nj),wright(gs)
NJ receives (Randolph(ny),Azubuike(ny),Radmanovic(gs),Lin(gs)
Gs receives (Walker(gs),Williams(ny),Humphries(nj),Farmar(nj)
throw in a pick somewhere to make ppl happy, makes all teams better

good read im not too familiar with players outside of the knicks (unless i have seen them play against the knicks, or are from new york.) you should call #7 the miracle trade. cause it would take a miracle for the nets who presently are conspiring against the knicks to get melo.. to ever help the knicks out, ever.

I like Daye a lot. He always looks very good when he gets minutes but he seems to have a pretty limited role in Detroit. I am not sure about Stephenson for Rautins. Stephenson had a great summer league and the Pacers seemed to be very excited about him until he got into trouble. I don't know if his status there and lack of minutes are a reflection of his character and their frustration with his situation or if he just isn't ready and can't crack the rotation. I don't think he would fit with D'Antoni anyway.

Papabear Says

I think Orlando would like it but Denver? Denver would rather give Carmelo to the Lakers or Miami for free before they trade with us.

I think Detroit wants to save Daye so they can plug him in the minute Prince leaves through trade or free agency. I like Daye a lot too and Detroit has done a pretty good job of screwing with his head. They had the kid starting at power forward at the start of the season, which made no sense.

I'd say no to Lance Stephenson- After the past decade, I've had enough of having to put up with a**holes on this team! I think Reggie Evans is out for a while with a broken foot- not sure why Toronto would trade him to us for Azubuike, who may never play again. Bayless got traded to the Hornets, who really wanted him, then immediately seemed to fall out of favour and get scant minutes. He then got traded to Toronto, who also seemed to really want him, and exactly the same thing happened there- this seems to indicate a problem, so I'd stay clear of him too. I think Jordan wants to get rid of DJ Augustin BUT only to get a player of value in return- unfortunately TD isn't very highly valued, and Roger Mason Jr certainly aint!

I wouldn't mind Courtney Lee, or Morrow, but like you said I doubt the Knicks and Nets ever trade with each other over the next decade. What I don't understand is why Walsh didn't insist on including Morrow as part of the AR deal- Golden state basically gave him to the Nets for free.

I believe someone on this forum posted that they knew Lance or some guys that are close to him and that he wouldn't be a good fit for the Knicks for many reasons.
