I think the Knicks will continue to get wins against these quality teams (Chi, Den, OKC in the last few games) and continue to win games against inferior teams. No suprise at all. The suprise would be how great Fields has been and how we have gotten nothing from AR.
i was looking at an old ESPN article that was published just after July about the Best FGA acquisition and Worst. Amare had second most votes from a pool or 80 or so ESPN writers for WORST.
Same type of article about whom would be the biggest surprise for a team. TONS of votes for AR, I think he was the second vote getter.
See I just don't understand that - Amare was money in PHX and sure there were questions about his health (but he came back last season and played awesome) and maybe the whole Nash effect - but you couldn't argue that he was a BAD player. I seriously didn't understand why Bosh got all the love, he is OK but Amare is better.
1) he went to NY and ESPN hates and trashes all things NY.
2) despite a very durable few years his contract wasnt insured, so therefore he must be broken
3) Its the Knicks. So ESPN hates us.
4) see #s 1 and 3
Even a lot of the local talk show douches were predicting 35-38 wins. Hell, a lot of people around here were. I cant fathom why. You add a great defensive PG from a playoff team. Felton has certainly exceeded expections but even if he didnt your getting a good floor general and tough hard nosed defender. You lose Lee but gain Amare, a 5x all star in his prime. Your two other best young players come back in Gallo/Chandler and are healthy. All that translate into 5 more wins? Its idiotic.
