What. No game thread yet?

Miami at 2nd in the conference at 23-9
Knicks tied for 4th in the conference with Orlando at 18-12, 1.5 games out of third place.

Let's make a statement. Beat the SLURPER friends!

I had in my prediction that we'd win this game, but after that first game, it's going to be tough, especially in their building. Maybe we'll catch them sleeping but if they aren't, then EVERYBODY has to be on their A+ game, in order for us to win.

-Recover from screens quickly.
-Don't allow And 1s.
-No open 3s.
-Don't get freaking burned by the freaking Arroyos of the world. That was freaking ridiculous and stupid. And don't freaking double team in the middle of the court, top of the key. STUPID!
-Gallo- Get to the free throw line and hit your openish 3s.
-Amar'e- Learn from the last game. It's your turn now. You played crappy that game.
-Fields- Cut and go up strong.
-Felton- Do what you're doing.
-Turiaf- Stay on the court for 20 minutes.
-Douglas- Play with your head UP. No more than 2 TOs for you and don't jack up 3s.
-Chandler- Do what you're doing.
-Williams- Catch them sleeping and hit your open 3s.

“Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

Not saying we WILL win but it does seem like a bit of a trap game for Miami. They just came off a west coast swing against a respectable Phoenix team and a good Lakers team and have just this game at home before heading back out on the road to Houston.

As for the home court advantage, Miami sports fans--from the Dolphins, to the Marlins to the Heat--have proven they are among the worst in all of sports. Just imagine how much tougher the Heat would be if they have any sort of a passionate fan base. They would be pretty close to unbeatable if they had a raucous crowd there.

Surely you can't be serious. I am serious. And don't call me Shirley.

If all 5 starters get into double figures,
and we play good team defense...we have a shot.

We need a good big man coach for AR & Moz.
Hopefully one of them will take the initiative
to go to one of those big man camps in the off-season.

For good luck I'll post this picture of Jamie Lynn Sigler AKA Meadow Soprano
at a recent Knicks' game...

I LOVE Meadow!
Miami can suck it too. Go Knicks!
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

lets name this game REDEMPTION. knicks win by 15.

if ny can get close to sixty minutes from shawne/turiaf/toney. then our top five will bring it home in the fourth. [ps] PLAY AR.

True, cheers.

I think the Knicks come out hard tomorrow, they come out swinging, they are hungry for blood, thirsty for it, to drink it.

Papabear Says

We need to just contain the big 3 and make sure that the supporting cast don't have a big game. If Gallo and Chandler have more than a 20 point game and Amare and Felton do their usual thing we win. I would put AR on LeBron for 15 min. Tell him don't take any shots just guard Lebron and rebound. Take out Miami's center.

I like the third pick the most NYBocker. Very nice. As for the Heat, I hope lebron gets chase down blocked by Stat, and a win of course. Felton still has brain farts in the fourth, they haven't been game ending mistakes up till now but they will be eventually if he doesn't keep it in check.

i dont think we'll see anything like we did in NY. the game should be alot closer tonight. but, the knicks will prob still lose. heat at home and just a bit out of our reach talent wise still. (cue martin for the 'i always pick opposite of you on gamepicker' comment in 3 - 2 - 1.... )

The knicks have a lot of fans in miami, we can beat this team if we hit our FT's and don't turn the ball over.

The one thing about our Knicks, they wanna get it in defensively, they talk about defense more then at any point in the last 9 years.

i think the knicks defense took a turn for the MUCH better during the bulls game. i believe mda, or better yet, dda, has tried to get them focused more on that end of the floor all year, and it's finally starting to click for them. that's a real good sign as they will need to be a premier defensive team to make a run in the playoffs.

as for tonight's game, too bad the fans cant play the game...then we'd have a better chance as i believe there will be just about as many knicks fans in the building as there will be heat fans. the heat though are just flat out better right now and they can sleep walk the first 3 quarters, be down by 10-15 points to start the 4th and still win the game.

I don't think you have to defend relentlessly for the whole game, no team does. The very best teams lock it down in the 4th quarter.
