....Lately

I been noticing that during the biggest possessions the Knicks have been extremely CLUTCH!!

Now I know that Cleveland was a let down and with a clutch possession we win game ..... BUT
other then that game and Miami game we have been on quite a good streak of Clutch play.

And not just on offense but on D as well.

We have played .800 basketball since 3 & 8 start and most is due to key clutch plays

I remember off top of my head the Denver game when Gallo got huge charge while up 1
with under 40 sec left and he had also hit 3 point play just seconds b4

I also remember both Bobcats games Felton hit huge Clutch 3's which won us the games.

Yesterday vs Bulls Amare Had clutch blocks all game... Gallo with huge Clutch 3's and Ill Will had many Clutch
baskets as game was decided in fourth
..Turiaf had clutch Blocks vs OKC early in game when game was decided....

Our team is showing signs of believing they will hit next Basket or make next Stop on D

Amare TUriaf Wilson Gallo Felton TD and Fields all pride themselves on D and seem to me are even
more excited with big stops then buckets!! Gallo tugging his Jersey on CHarges is becoming a nightly
thing now!!....... Amare and Wilson are both top 15 in blocks in NBA!!!.... Amare top 10... Yesterday
he played his best all around game I thought 20 10 4 and 6 blocks!!! Ohh and absolutely NO CALLS from
refs.....

Turiaf is just a beast on D and he makes the Garden rock with every block!..... Ill Will is a quite
but deadly assassin on O but equally quite and deadly on D....... Felton is a bull on D and Mad
CLUTCH on O

TD is so pesky on D and can hit buckets..... Also noticed Turiaf got on him for not passing Yesterday
and it led to 3 straight pick and roll assists to Turiaf in a row.... They are finding that Amare Felton
type chemestry together which will help spell our starters....

We have a very solid young team and being Clutch is becoming more and more a trend.......

I for one Love It!!

KNICKS on the way UP!!!

That's the biggest difference, last year you had a team that would occasionally ball hard in the first 3 quarters, compete against strong enemies, but would go flacid late in the 4th. It's been a recurring theme over the last decade or so. The true mark of an elite squad is their ability to close games out, and the Knicks have been doing that consistently this season. It's another indicator of the top-8 quality of the Knicks.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

I agree.

Past few years if we had a small lead in the final 5 minutes, I ALWAYS expected us to squander it. We just sucked ass at closing out games. Now, I'm confident that if a game came down to the wire, our guys can get a clutch defensive stop, or someone will step up for the big bucket (and the best part is, everyone has hit a dagger from our big 4).

Clutch is:

- Gallo taking the shot without hesitation

- The Mayor draining a big shot and not flinching a muscle to celebrate.

- Shawne Williams shooting over 60 per cent from three point range

- Turiaf rolling to the hoop with amazing grace

- the look in Landry Fields eyes as if he's been here before, for years

- Felton making his free throws

- Amare never backing down and protecting his house with fierce pride

once a knick always a knick

We always said this for the last few years, we needed a Stud Big man and a Stud PG and now that we have those you can see how much more valuable the rest of our guys are in their roles. It's MUCH easier to make end of game decisions when you have Star players that can get it done or create for someone else. We can close out games much better now. If Gallo ever worked on his post game or a turnaround jumper he'd be another guy that we could go to like Dirk does for his team. Gallo still has the most untapped potential of our young bigs. I keep waiting to see him use a jab step and just pullup for a midrange jumper like Dirk. It's something he should be able to learn and I hope he does. He faces up on the perimeter, but he also needs to get in the midrange and use that kind of game.
