of course he decided to give webber a huge extension instead of paying the above mentioned kids, which didn't work out because webber got hurt.

In any case, he's proven he's not a total moron which makes him better than half the GMs in the league. If we can't attract any superstars he has experience building around just one, Chris Webber.

btw Webber in his prime..better than Amare? Skillwise..I'd say yes. Alpha-dog gene wise, Amare's got the edge. Webber passed the ball like a hot potato in the clutch, Amare takes 3s and makes em.
