You do the math

December 5 - The Answer Man: "Landry Fields Is John Havlicek. Always on the move and able to match up with big guards at 6'7"

December 24 - Knicks president Donnie Walsh told The Post that Fields reminds him of John Havlicek. Yes, that Havlicek, the Celtics Hall of Famer who wasn't an ace shooter as an NBA rookie either.

"Talking to some people today, he reminds them of John Havlicek when he first came into the league," Walsh said.

"He seems so mature, it's like he's played in the NBA before," Walsh said. "He plays defense like a veteran. If he doesn't stop them, he makes them make plays they don't want to make. He just seems to make the right play at the right time."

"People think he's coming down," Walsh said. "I don't think he's coming down."

"Havlicek wasn't known as a shooter at first, he developed it. Landry picks up things very quickly. He'll pick that up too."

"He's not a great ball-handler, passer or shooter," D'Antoni said. "What he does well, he's great in having a nose for the ball and being able to have enough energy and hustle all the time. We got just really lucky."

Heck, you're probably stalking and texting the old man and he made the comment just to appease you.

The nose for the ball is a given (not to mention a Godsend for us) but it sounds like D'Antoni sells the rest of his game a little short here, no? He's not a ball-handler, passer or shooter? Really??? Coulda fooled me..

So you got 1 out of 10 right.

You're still shooting 10%.

Maybe not "great". His passing is pretty damn close especially since he's not a point guard. His ball handling is very solid and his shooting is improving very quickly but far from great.

Donnie Walsh Selected Landry Fields Just To Appease The Answer Man

JrZyhustla: "You're still shooting 10%"

AM - and The Mayor is still shooting 48 per cent

Palladin: "Heck, you're probably stalking and texting the old man and he made the comment just to appease you."

AM - you left out tapping into his cel phone, bugging his limousine and threatening him with incriminating photographs of midgets.
