After seeing the Merry Knixmas thread, I got inspired to share an invite to my band's next show. Hope to see some of you guys there.

T'was the night after Christmas and all through the Merc
The buzz was growing for the bands to do work
The guitars were all tuned, precise and with care
With hopes that a fever-pitched crowd would be there
When the bands were prepared to rock and to roll
The crowd was already out of control
They rocked at their hardest from first to last note
And on their way out they screamed "damn that was dope!!!"
Uh yeah, that's right. I actually wrote that especially for you with the hopes that you would say to yourself, "Self, that was such a cute and entertaining poem, that I now owe it to the spirit of art and rock and roll in general, and most importantly, to myself and to the future generations to make it out for this amazing, and totally worthwhile, borderline life-altering, post-Christmas, rock and roll extravaganza that features four awesome rock bands." (You also owe it to yourself not to think in run-on sentences.)
YOU CAN SETTLE THE LIFELONG DEBATE OVER WHETHER LIFE IMITATES ART OR ART IMITATES LIFE!!
You are empowered to make life imitate art by coming to this show, by being fever-pitched, by being out of control before the show even starts, by rocking your hardest from beginning to end, and then by exalting your satisfaction for the show on your way out of the club. Basically, if you can follow what that poem says to a T, you will not only have just attended an awesome top-to-bottom rock show, you will have also contributed to history!!
I think I can safely say this is going to be one of those "where were you when <blank> happened?" moments. Will you be able to forgive yourself when you were on your couch while history was being made? Don't risk it. You won't be able to youtube this. There are no do-overs. In the immortal words of eminem, "opportunity knocks once in a lifetime." That. Dude. Is. Wise. You gotta lose yourself in the moment.
Every band has been handpicked and tested for awesomeness. This is a certifiably awesome show. Trust us, there were lab coats, bunsen burners and beakers involved.
