At the end of the day, neither one of these guys is anythting special. Gallo is not the shooter he was supposed to be, just a good 3rd scorer. Chanlder is the same thing. You can get guys like these all the time. Wing players are dimze a dozen in the NBA.

Anthony is a top 10 player, a proven super star who has carried a team arguably short on talent to the playoffs in a tough western conference.

The only guy I would not be willing to trade is Fields becaue guys like him are tough to find in terms that he is such a great team player who is great at beigng the 5th option.

I am down to trade Chandler, Gallo, Randolph, Curry, and a 2 rounder for Anthony and Nene for example.

Then we would have Nene, Stat, Melo, Fields and Felton starting. Pretty damn good. Bench with Turiaf, TD, Williams and Mosgov still sucks. We will need to use the MLE and the LLE to get a legit backup C/PF and a PG. Maybe we could a good bench wing player back in the deal for Melo.

Maybe a multi-team trade where we have Chandler, Gallo, Randolph, Curry, TD, 2nd roudner going out, and Melo, and say Varejao, Gibson and JR Smith comgin back.

Either way, this team as currently constructed is mediocre at best.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

for the good of the game tech call

how do those two bolded sentences work together

if they not special then no reason for the nugs to trade for them.

They are going to loose Melo for nothing in the off-season. Why not get cap releaf and 2 solid starters?

Nothign special does not mean crap.

Anthony is not even willing to sign with the Nets. Its a moot point. The trade specualtion centers around him not wiling to go to crap teams. Which is what NJ is, a really really really crappy franchise.

sounds good if nets werent presently owned by a billionaire who owns the biggest gold mine in the galaxy, and who made it possible for the team to move to brooklyn. new team owner owns so many companies, melo just signing endorsement deals with them, would double his income.

You're buggin'. Gallo is much more than a good third scorer. Guy is lethal, he's special, you don't trade special players like Gallo. Period.

Insanity. Insanity.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

What is so special about Gallo? I don't see anything speical about him. This is probably the highest his value is ever going to be. We should trade him while there is still some theoretical upside remaining to his game.

At the end of the day he is a good, not great shooter. A below avergae defender and rebounder. He gets to the line, I will give him that.

But at the end of the day, the best Gallo can be is a KVH at this point at the pick of KVH's career. And I doubt Gallo will ever be as good a rebounder.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

What's that billionaire accomplished thus far in the league? He's failed miserably at all his initial big goals he promised that dwindling fan base. In the words of Mark Cuban, he's a pus sy.

The funny thing is that when you really look at it our problem isn't Gallo and Chan. Our Starters for the most part do a great job against just about any comp. In fact until the Heat game, which was mostly about fatigue, our starters have more than held their own. What kills us is the lack of support off the bench. At this point is we can improve our bench this team is going to be competitive with just about any team. That's my personal opinion and from what i've seen Melo is a great scorer, but Chan and Gallo are both better defenders that block shots and actually play tough on their man. I'm not in such a hurry to get rid of those guys.

Didn't he take over the team in June? He didn't do well in free agency but Billy King and Rod Thorn have put the Nets in a great position to acquire Anthony. They have everything it takes if Anthony gives the go ahead. I think Avery, Harris, and Lopez are selling points as well. If the Nets were already in Brooklyn this deal would probably already have been done.

I think we are. Thats a good trade. Its when you add in AR and Fields and take back Balkman its not so good. If we are competing with the Nets offer than Gallo + Chandler is just as likely to get us Kobe as it is Carmelo

Adding Anthony Randolph is like adding Bill Walker or Andy Rautins. He has no value. He's the 12th man on the team for crying out loud! I can understand not wanting to include Landry Fields because he's actually productive but to continue to cry over Randolph is a little ridiculous. I don't know what more prove you need to admit that Randolph is a total scrub.

Randolph is far from a scrub but that is the role he will be given in NY so he might as well be traded. I think he will blow up in his next destination and if I am Denver I insist on him being included in any trade with the Knicks. Randolph will get no run from D'Antoni so Walsh needs to either trade him or insist that D'Antoni integrate him into the line up. Walsh has always supported D'Antoni so my guess is Randolph is on another team by the end of February.

Based on what? I wish I could see what some of you are seeing here. I see very little basketball talent (no post game, weak jumper, does nothing special), no fire in his belly, no IQ and no motor with Anthony Randolph.

This clip is against nba players and isn't a Lavor Postell highlight reel.

I think it is easy to forget that he is coming back from an injury and might need to get some time on the court. I hope in general the team is patient with Randolph and Buike. Today on the Fan they were talking about the Knicks waiving Buike so they could sign a back up point.

Warriors' Randolph has ankle injuryEmail Print Comments7 Associated Press

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Golden State forward Anthony Randolph will be sidelined perhaps two months or more with a serious ankle injury.

Randolph, a second-year pro averaging 11.6 points and a team-leading 6.5 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per game this season, underwent an MRI exam Monday on his injured left ankle that revealed a tear of two outside ligaments in the ankle and a sprain in another ligament. He also has an avulsion fracture where the muscle pulled away from a piece of bone, which had prior damage from a previous sprain.

The Warriors said Randolph will wear a walking boot for three weeks and then be re-evaluated.

"I expected it to be a long time and it will be," coach Don Nelson said before the Warriors hosted LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. "I wouldn't call it season-ending but it's pretty close. A couple of months."

Randolph left Friday night's 108-101 home victory over Sacramento late in the first quarter with the injury. Randolph collapsed to the floor after Tyreke Evans missed a driving layup at the buzzer and lay on the ground for several moments before teammates helped him off the court.

Randolph had been making positive strides and was given more responsibility recently. He had started the last three games and was averaging 13.7 points and seven rebounds in his three outings prior to getting hurt Friday.

"You'd like to see another three months of him playing consistently and see what he could become this year," Nelson said. "It's a bit of a setback for him. He was moving along nicely in the maturation process. I enjoyed watching his progress."

During Randolph's absence, the Warriors will rely more on Ronny Turiaf, struggling forward Vladimir Radmanovic and sparsely used Devean George. Before Monday, George had appeared in all of four games for Golden State and hadn't played more than two minutes since Dec. 14.
