my thought is that the statement "they aren't D'AnToni type players" is wrong, it's that they are not ready to play ball at a level conducive to winning with the current team.
Jordan Hill kind of debunks this thought because the Rockets are beginning to win with him getting rotation minutes. Last year we were told he was a bad rookie by this very coach, probably because he wasn't Channing Frye of 2005-2006.
Dougie looks a thousand times worse than last year and I'm not buying this injury excuse with him. While I think he probably has some wear and tear it's no worse than guys playing through common injuries throughout the course of a season. It took over half a season for him to play Dougie last year. I don't think these are his kind of players. He's trying to turn into things they simply are not.
I mean seriously we heard reports upon reports upon reports about how different this team is compared to last year highlighting athleticism and yet Moz and AR hang out on the perimeter like they're Ray Allen when they are in games but most of the time eating Dave and Thomas popcorn from the bench.
Put them in positions to show off their athleticism oh wait they can't because Amar'e operates in this fashion so get out of his way so he can go 30 Moz and AR or better yet when coach play you guys... it'll be a mix of Walker/Shawne Williams/Mason/Douglas/AR/Moz....lol
