Saw this coming. Good job with the substitutions Mike. Then again it might be a hidden blessing because now Mike is going to hear it at every news conference. Hopefully he gives Felton a rest too so he doesn't join Amare.

One decent injury to either of them and all the games we've won, etc. will be for not.

This really sucks... I can hear the 8mile soundtrack playing now, with Anthony Randolph in mind.

We cannot win this game with Amare or without.
Time to start hockey tactics. If we are most likely to lose the game rest the main players and start developing assets.

Most of knew this would happen, maybe not this soon. Time to expand the rotation, give them another chance to earn minutes, or other starters will probably start missing games as well.

If Amear is hurt for a period of time it is just a matter of time before D'Antoni is gone. He does not know how to communicate with young players of today. His only answer is to punish them, bench them, and ignore them and reduce thier value on the market.

Really? Is that still your take. Is it possible that the players in question just aren't performing enough to warrant time? Fields is a rookie, isn't he? Gallinari is young right? Mozgov got the start early on too. Do you really disagree with him not playing now?

I am not in love with MDA but I think he is trying to win and would play anyone if it meant a better chance to win the game.

If Amare can't go, then start AR and give him Amare's role.

Yup.

Maybe, you can make a case that he has unrealistic standards for his young players, but he's in a "win now" mode, and would probably play Eddie Curry if he thought Curry could help the team.

I agree with the general sentiment here BUT what Amare has is a neck injury. If it were his surgically repaired knee, I'd say you could make a case that he was being worn down due to playing too much. I've never heard of overuse or excessive minutes leading to a neck injury though.

Amare was quoted as saying he was getting sore during his 30 point scoring drive- it sounded like he was saying that had not happened before. Too many minutes=sore something.

Maybe Amare meant his neck was sore, from carrying the team on his back for 3 weeks? =)

Amare's neck was sore from driving with his head down and ramming into the opponents chest.
