Denver knows Melo walks. Offer him sick money. Money he can't refuse. Money Denver won't have to pay. The are in a sense pre negotating his contract and shopping it for trade.

The deal is he does not sign this without a trade. Denver knows some team will take these contracts.

Denver Knows Melo will likely compromise and take the money and go. Knicks have the right of refusal. Denver can say "knicks don't want you, or don't want to pay you, but Brooklyn will!"

No, Denver is playing this very very smart. I say its already prearranged and Melo is just going along with it. He wants to be traded, but he wants to sign that extention first!!!!!!

THink he won't go to orlando? Chicago? Jersey? I say he is cooperating with Denver. Its a freaking well orchestrated play that gives Melo some control.

for denver they just cant build around melo anymore period. they tried and failed. maybe he is just not a leader like lebron, who needs say wade to hold his hand. amar'e will hold melo's hand. amar'e is our kg except he doesnt punch people in the face. pierce needed a kg, does that mean pierce is not a star? no. just one piece fits with the other to make a whole.
